common newer polaris headlight problem
On the newer polaris's that have the blue push button style hibeam switch. The dielectric grease that polaris uses in this switch will become hard and build up on the switch and cause the headlights to flicker and dim. The two ways to fix this problem one would be to replace the switch assembly for 175.00 or what you can do is disassemble the left control block and clean the contacts.
first remove the four bolts holding it to the bars
then remove the four of five bolts holding the block together
remove the spring and pull the switch out of the housing
then gently scrape the hardened grease off of the switch
now its time to apply a small amount of new dielectric grease to the contacts
put the switch back into the housing and then the spring
now re install the four or five screws and the back peice of the housing
now put the housing back on the bars and re install the screws in the correct spots they are 2 different lengths and tighten them being sure to place the block where you want it positioned for your comforts.
this meathod worked for me and others and is a much cheaper way out of it.
