have a problem tunning my colt ss 295. i rebuilt it, took a ride for 3-4 hours (-5deg.C) i ran well. The next weekend (about 0deg. C), after an our, engine delivered not power after mid throttle, but ok from idle to mid. I check the plug, they where grey, but i continu use it no more than mid throttle, for half an hour, until i seize a piston on mag side. The piston on the clutch side was ok, but black, almost all around.
I hone the cyl.mag. an fixed a used OEM piston, an reassembly with the wiseco .010 oversize that was already on the engine when i seize it. Compresion is 132 ont the mag. side with the wiseco and 140 we the std OEM. I still have a problem adjusting the jet, but idle to 3/4 throttle have a lot of power. I have tried 110, then 105 and finally 120 jet, at +3deg.C, but no difference.
Somebody can help me?
