What are the friends and enemies?
You can make someone on the site either your friend, enemy, or nothing in relation to you. By viewing someones profile and clicking the "friend" button, they become your friend. To remove them as your friend, simply click on the "friend" button again. If they are your friend and you click on the "enemy" button, they are no longer your friend but instead your enemy. You can remove them as an enemy by clicking the "enemy" button again or by making them a friend. You can also remove friends and enemies from your "My Controls" page.
Making users on the site friends of yours will allow you to customize the homepage so that events only from friends are displayed. In the future, more options for your friends will be available.
The enemies list is the opposite of the friends list. An enemy is someone you don't care to hear from or look at posts and such from. People on your enemies list have their posts blocked from being displayed to you. They are also not allowed to post in your guestbook, send you email messages, or send you private messages. You can also customize the homepage to block events created by enemies from being displayed. Basically, enemies are not allowed to communicate with you on the site.
No one is able to see who is on your friends or enemies lists. Only you can see this information.
How do I upload pictures to a post in the forum?
STEP 1
Type whatever it is that you want to say in your post. When you are ready to insert an image, click on the paperclip icon in the toolbar.

Step 1
The screen will shade and this window will pop up on top of it.
STEP 2

Step 2
Here you can choose whatever type of media that you are going to upload. Since we're talking about pictures in this How To, we'll click on the
Images icon.
STEP 3

Step 3
Here is where you have to decide what type of picture you are uploading and choose the appropriate category. For instance, I wouldn't suggest uploading crashed sled pictures into the
Mods category... unless you really consider a smashed hood as a mod.
STEP 4

Step 4
Once you've selected the correct category, you are asked to select a
virtual directory to upload the files into. Every image that you upload is put into your personal Media Gallery here on SF, so you'll have to decide where it should be in your directories.
STEP 5

Step 5
Now you need to select the files, but first you need to locate them on your hard drive. So, click on the
Browse For Files button.
STEP 6

Step 6
Browse through your files until you find what you want to upload. Once you have found the file(s), you can select one at a time or multiple files.
STEP 7

Step 7 A

Step 7 B
(Note: To select multiple files, click on the first file in the list to highlight it, then press and hold the Shift key, now click on the last file in the list that you want to upload. If all of the files are not together in the list, press and hold the CTRL key, then click on each file until all of the files you want to upload are selected.)
Now click on the
Open button.
STEP 8

Step 8
Here you see a list of all the files that you have selected to upload. Click on the
Start Upload button.
STEP 9

Step 9
Once all of the files have finished uploading, a small box appears to let you know it's completed. Click on the
OK button.

Attachment Succesful
The shading goes away and you now see the
attach=###### in the brackets. If you have uploaded more than one picture, there will be several of those in the post. Feel free to move them around. They don't have to stay in that order, but they must be in that format (no spaces inside the brackets).

Attachment Manager
Under the area where you are typing your message, you see the
Attachment Manager area. You can add titles and descriptions for each image that you have uploaded.
Now the only thing left to do is complete any typing that you need to and click on the
Submit Message button under the Attachment Manager like you would for any other post.
Congratulations! You've successfully added an image to your post!

Please note that when you are uploading multiple images, they will show up in your post like this...

Multiple Files
You don't have to leave them like that. Feel free to put more than one on a line. I wouldn't suggest any more than 4 per line (computer monitor resolutions vary widely between users).
If you are going to do this, make sure you put spaces between each image and between the lines of pictures. This will make them display in the post nicer.

Stacked

Not Stacked
Leaving the images stacked up makes the post really long and leaves a lot of empty space to the right of the images; lining them up fills in that space. This is not required, just a suggestion.
Okay, now that you have a ton of pictures if your gallery, you can bring them back into your posts later without having to upload them again. That's what the paperclip icon with the small arrow next to it is for!

Step 1
Click it!!!

Step 2
Your virtual directories show up as a vertical scrolling list on the left side (if you have that many directories) and your images show up in a horizontal scrolling list on the right side. Click on the directory you want, then click on each file you want to add to your post.
When you are finished selecting files, click on the
Close button in the lower right corner to get back to the editor.
Finish up by clicking on the
Submit Message button like normal.
