Well now that my powervalves are actually working my sled is an animal, got it up to 100 on the speedo today in a field for the first time ever. It would max out at 85 on the railroad bed before, but now I see that 85 was actually good for having the powervalves not working!

not really. we did some radar testing on the 600 ves sleds and at the 1/4 mile they were right around the 100 mph mark.

different gears arent going to get a prox 600 to 120, I have seen 1200 water craft prox's get to 130, but you are comparing 110 hp to 270 hp. on a flat wide open run a prox 600 would have a hard time getting much over 105,

Ya, we've had the 440 over the 120 mark, but we've been plagued by melted pistons this season. Right now we're running on our "best of USED" pistons and rings. We'll plate the cylinders and get new stuff over the summer. Two sets of pistons in two weeks was enough for me.

that is rediculously fast for a snowmobile... he didnt even fly off the line, he took off, slowed down, then TOOK OFF, probably coulda hit 130 easy.

The 780cc trail sled: 128.2 mph in 2000' - current NBSSR 800 Improved Trail record holder
The 1136cc race sled: 148.4 mph in 2000' in a full SRX improver chassis.
Now it is in a prostock chassis, with a carpet track setup, and weighs 170 lbs less. This years goal is 160mph in 2000'. In testing earlier this week, I ran 133.8 in less than 700'.
Here's a link for a video at 145.4 mph, in the old, heavy chassis.

I don't even feel worthy of posting my numbers...
But I have see on the speedo 80 on the Pantera and about 100 an the EXT.
The Pantera's speedo jumps 20 mph even with 1/16 throttle anyway but I wouldn't doubt seeing 75 in perfect conditions.

Dad's Sled: '94 580 EXT dropped two teeth
Old doesn't necessarily mean slow!!
