Props to those guys that go 120 - 130mph, thats insane! I got my sled up to 105mph on a groomed trail.
Thats just what the speedometer says...its probably closer to 110.
Are they off by that much? wow
Yo james 007, any snow up ur way? I usually ride the huntsville area and I came up to kirkland lake last year in march and stayed at the comfort inn. Me and 3 other guys rode from the inn into cochrane and then over to smoothrock, ate lunch and then turned around and went home the same way. we were going to go home through timmins but it was getting late and we didnt want to miss any gas stops. Wound up putting on 420 miles on in 1 day rolling 100mph all day long on my xcr 800. Lots of fun up there, im from grand island N.Y. wich is a suburb of buffalo so ur 9 hours away from me. If you were closer i'd ride up there all the time.

Hey man, just duck down below the windshield of that Enticer 340 and she'll do 100 lol. I know, I rode a '74 Rupp 340 for my first sled, seriously. I'm experienced at reducing the aerodynamic drag coefficient of a machine. Check out the pics below. I rubbed out the hood of the Ultra, waxed it, and picked up about 690 mph to put me around 800 mph. That broke the existing land speed record ;) Those darn Monster stickers didn't do $h!t for me lol.
Seriously though, I can get the standard 110 mph out of 'er with the current gearing setup and drive sprocket size, but it gets there pretty quick.

If you can't run with the big dogs, stay on the porch.

Not yet, we've had some like a week ago, couple of inchs on the grass but its long gone right now...im thinking its going to be a good winter. The trails are really nice up here. If you ever come up again let me know.

lol I'm just being ridiculously stupid. Obviously the thing won't do 100 mph. I guess the main idea that I'd like to get across, in its most fundamental form, is to never quit trying. Maybe you should stick a big honkin triple in your enticer and get it to go 100 lol. I dunno, have fun.

on about a hundred yard straight had my bros speedometer barried on his 2001 800 xcsp stock.
not sure how to factor track spin in but i know that when the speedo was on 110 it felt great but that extra ten mph to 120 really hit me in the gut.

In 300' you had a 120 speedo pegged? Must have been a LOT of track spin.
I like anything fast enough to do something stupid on

Unless you race at sanctioned grass, ice, or asphalt drags I could really care less!
As the topic says; "serious racers"
Achorod and just a couple others have the only posts relevant to this topic. Are the rest of you willing to put the time and money into it that these guys do and run at the official tracks where the times are accurate and records are kept.
Achorod kicked AZZ with that 440 of his!!! These are the guys I want to hear from.
Don't get me wrong, it's ok to talk about how fast your machine is and to do a little bragging, but this is not the thread for it.
