Well I am currently working on rebuilding a old Stihl 032av chainsaw. Here are some of the questions I have. First off is there a web site that might show a breakdown picture of this saw? The problem appears to be with the saw is the crank seals. Atleast thats what my friend told me. He took it to a dealer and they wanted to much to fix it. So I told him I would give it a try. The dealer also said it was the crank seals.
The other question I have is where can I find torque specs for this? Or should I just ask the dealer?

Good luck with your project. I was gonna try the same thing with an old one I had that the seals went bad on, but gave up when I couldn't really find the kind of info you're looking for. 'Course I didn't try too hard euther, and I'm sure it can be done. I hope you can make it work, but I can't really offer any advice, sorry.

A good site to visit is www.arboristsite.com . Go into the chainsaw forum and look in the stickys for the manual thread, if you cannot find one post up and someone will email you an owners manual and a parts breakdown.
I know xcr440 and his brother(?) Octane are members over there. It is a good site.
