I think in addition to the plus/minus rating, we need a great big WTF? Some post I feel warrant this kind of rating.

I think it would be good if all the +/- were recorded in the members profile. That way you would be able to see what a person really contributes to the site.

^ I like that idea also. I remember on the old site there was some sort of rating system in the users profile.

I like the way snowest has their rating system. That way it shows you what that persons over all reputation is on the site. And if you give good or ad to one member, you have to pass more around to over members, before you can rate that member again. Makes for a no BS system.
