Just got a 2004 F7 Nightfire Its EFI.... Ok Well I bought it and it was fast but i thought it was going to be faster
Just bogs like crap at 70.... Is that normal for f7's ? Ok today here i am on hardpack with 94 studs hooked up
no problem.... Then Cracked it down and DA DA DA .... it slows down Then speeds up.. Anybody know what this is?
its like popping like it has no compression... Today it blew a hole in the pipe up close to the Y pipe... Was that the
problem? Literally theres a hole !!! Maybe that hole was so small then when i cracked it down the air came out a slit?
Then finally just Cracked open? Do you guys have any suggestions on what to do while i change the pipe? :P
Thanks much ! Sorry for the long reading.

I would make sure your Exhaust valves are actuating. For there to be a hole I would think that cylinder must have gotten really hot and leaned out some how.

My F7 flys into tripple digits on the dreamometer, so you should be pulling way past 70, sounds like either your clucth is messed or your powervalves are not working correctly. As for the hole in the pipe I heard alot of firecats crack in that spot. I believe the 1st Ypipes didn't have the bracket hanging off the clutch side cyl to support the pipe.

times 4 on the power valves. Your coil could be failling also. I've heard of a lot of guys losing top end because of a bad coil. Valves first then coil!
