Howdy all. I got a tuff one. Hopin someone can help me out. My 91 phazer will not make power over 7K RPM. I have chaecked and rechecked all of the obvious stuff. Cluth, carbs, fuel flow, exhaust flow, throttle switch. If i prop up the back end I can not get it to go past 7k. If i ride it i gets to 40ish. If i go up a incline (maybe 30% grade)It will barely make it up with a running start. I have checked the ohm readings of the the above listed items and all is ok. I am stumped. The only thing I can think of is the stator. My past experience with stators usually has been a no start or very poor running. My sled fires right up, has great response off the line but it wont rev. almost like it has a limiter on it. What do you all think????
Thanks in advance.

They carbs have been totally gone through. nice and clean. The clutch is good. Already went through it. My buddy has the same year phazer as i do and it is exactly set up like his. Except he blows past 7K.

can u turn the track with one hand while the sled is propped up? if not change your drive bearings. Is your brake sticking? I mean do the pads let go or cause unnecessary friction. how is your belt? Is it glazed or worn down? changeing the belt should give some improvement if you go to a stock product. How is your jetting? right size and condition?
just some suggestions.

Its posessed by Satan, Throw holy water on it and say the power of Chrsit compels you. Lol no jk. Yeah try cleaning the carbs, changing the plugs, and look in the air box and see if there is anything in there that might cause a clog or something
