Check out this stuff. I know what I'll be doing to all my maps now. This stuff works great. I have never heard of waterproofing maps before.

thats genious... i wonder how it works... seems to be like a spray on laminate. we just laminate all of our maps, cheap and gives you a map that last forever, plus that also makes it so it wont rip. im not sure this would prevent ripping.

When I use to work outside all day I would put my maps in a clear plastic bag, fold it over, and tape it shut with packing tape. Maps never got wet even when I fell in a few rivers.

wouldn't the laminate make it hared to fold though?

Bambi would have been a better and shorter movie if he was shot in the beginning with his mother

if a ride on lawn mower takes bumps better than your sled, its time to upgrade

That's cool. I've always ghetto-laminated with packing tape. Uber-cheap and lasts for quite awhile.

That's cool,
I've always done the zip lock bag thing,
But I do see good in this.

not at all if you make some good creases with a cool iron. yeah you can use a cool iron on laminate. just like you can use it on paper. just keep it super cool, no steam, and move swift.

The whole point is that you do not have to use plastic bags anymore. You do not have to take the maps out of the bags, unfold it, possibly get it wet, fold it back up, put it in the bag.......You do not have to crease them with an iron, etc......

This stuff just makes everything easier. You would not even know that this stuff is on the maps....until you see the water just beading off....

im worried more about tearing a map though than getting it wet i guess i was trying to say, laminate is a great way to prevent tears and keep the map dry.
