I am posting this because the sled broke down as my dad was driving it home and we towed it home and thats when we discovered the problem. I had a look at the engine and i couldn't see any holes in the piston and they both move up and downlike they should. So I am wondering what else could cause the low compression, thank you.

Yes one cylinder is 121 psi and the other is 15 psi. Also to add I noticed the cylinder wall on the side with 15 psi has marks on, I'm not sure if this is related though.

Ok thank you guys I will do that. Also I heard you can have the cylinders bored out to repair it, but is it better to replace them?

I believe you can bore them out, but you still have to buy all new pistons and gaskets and stuff. I'm not sure, but i was going to buy a wildcat with a bored out engine, and the guy said i just had to put it together, with all the new parts for the new size.
I would think that it would be better to replace the piston/possibly the cylinder.

you can bore them, but you have to bore it right out and sleave it.... cant just bore it out .020 and pop a piston in. Might be able to get away with a ball hone to polish it up, sounds like ur rings are shot though for sure

For a update guys I have the engine apart and I can see the rings on the one side are damaged. I bought a piston pin puller but I was unable to remove it, so I'm wondering if i'm doing something wrong or if the pins just seized. Any help would be great if anybody knows any tricks, thank you.

You did pull the circlip right? I've run into this quite a few times with engines that have burned down, the heat seems to sieze the pin in the piston. I have a puller, I think its actually a pulley puller that fits over the piston and presses the pin out. Your probably going to have to have it pressed out, or maybe try heating the piston.

is A circlip something that goes through the pin? I think your probably right about heating it up or having it pressed out because my dad already bent the pin puller tool in it, so if its that tight it must need to be done another way. Thank you for the help.

Theres a little wire clip on each side of the piston that keeps the pin from sliding out the side of the piston. If you havent taken these out you wont be able to remove the pin.

I will have to ask my dad because I wasn't there for that part, and I didn't bother looking at it after he couldn't get it out. However the day when we took the clyinders off I didn't notice that wire clip, but is it possable it heated up and joined the piston/pin. I will have another look at it tommorow, we might of missed it.

When we were disconnecting the hoses that go to the bottom of the clyinder one of them broke at the part where both hoses go to,and I am wondering how hard this will be to replace. It is A little metal valve that broke.
