What do i do if i want to ride but the temp gauge seems to be climbing to fast, the trails are hard and packed and its fairly warm out, but the IQ 600 cfi seems not to be cooling properaly. i went for a 50 mile mile ride and the trails were mint. by the end of the day the gauge was pushing 180. my buddy says add studs. any suggestions?

We do a lot of ice riding. try installing a set of scratchers on the skis and on the skid. Glare ice at times and still no problem for overheat or slider wear. Hope this helps

Get some ice scratchers, or just dont ride in these type or hard packed conditions. We rode in some hard pack last weekend and even my sled was running very hot, and i have plenty of heat exchangers. Smelled like burning candles when i was riding behind a friends Edge RMK 144. Hyfaxes were just a burnin that day. Just what happens this time of year.
