I've rode powder just about that deep before. It is fun...but unless you have a snorkel for an intake and a stack for exhaust the engine has a real hard time breathing. Even in 2-3 feet of fluff I have to make a point to carve left to get the exhaust out of the snow every once in awhile.

My SRX would die in that. Dont get me wrong, with the changed we made so far it handles the powder pretty good all things considering. Except i gets really choked up in the deep. This summer im putting a longer deflector on it, but i need to take the triple pipes off to do that.

I wish we knew where those pictures were taken from.

Crazy amounts of snow. I remember years back we use to get so much snow... we use to climb the snowbanks along the roads to slid on (since we are out in the stix)... and we had to step over the powerlines to get to the top of the bank. We use to be able to walk on the roof of our garage like it was nothing... the drafts covered the whole thing... we had to dig down to the man doors and such... Going into the garage was like going into an underground lair... lol. But none of that for ages now. It's so sad.
I seen these pics sooo many times... i don't even care where they came from, they just plain out RULE and I am jealous!

I've got pics of when I was a kid were the snow was over my dads head and we had holes dug out around the windows of the house. Don't get snow like that anymore.

Yeah i was going to say some parts of canada get absolutely hammered with snow like feet and feet of it days at a time!

<edit> This year where im at we got tons of snow compared to the last few years, the snow was up to the bottom of my windows which is almost 6 feet off the ground. I can still ride the trails.
