You could be pretty much guaranteed it would have been well over $4000 at the beginning of winter. As for mods to this one, I'm going to put the 1.25 inch ripsaw that's on the 500 on and I have to do something about the bars because there way to low. Other than that I'll just go through it over the summer and make sure its good to go for winter and see from there. Maybe put some skis on it. Will see though. O ya I think I want to find a set of tunnel braces for it too. Don't know why it doesn't have them. I thought all these sleds came with them.

I upgraded from my 94rxl and 95 xlt to an 02xcsp600 and 02edgex600 and couldnt be happier your going to love that sled!!! $3500!!! My god i feel special now i got my 2 for 2800 combined! And as for the fishbones(tunnel braces) only the m-10 models i believe came with them..

Red trailing arms....red radius rods.....red boggy wheels.....not an Edge X seat.....no Edge X snow flap.....no fishbones. I'm thinking that's not an Edge X. It's an XC with Edge X plastic. I could be wrong though.
EDIT: You could of had my Edge X for less than $3500 and then you would of spanked xcindy500 in a race. JMO
I need big jugs on my sled, cuz my girl doesn't.

Thats what i was thinking... Plus no yellow screens. Seems like someone switched everything over to that.. XC seat.. I believe thats an xcsp600. Idk how you transfer registration/title. But what does it say for the model? And most of the edgex's came with M-10 correct me if im wrong!

^^^A lot of the Edge X's came with the M-10, but I think most of them came with just the Edge skid. I don't know for sure though.
Another thing is that plastic is from an 03. You said it's an 02. That sled was more than likely wrecked at one point in it's life. I don't think you got as good of a deal as you think you did. JMO

Yep mines an 02 it should have graphics like that? Idk kenv56 you might want to start asking questions.. This thing seems to be pieced together almost like maybe it was wrecked and thrown back together? Also edgex either had red or blue front springs and the xc's had yellow.
<edit>Maybe it was a 700xcsp at one point in its life? Are you sure its a 600 even? Snap a pic of under the hood! Also the black front bumper isnt stock for an edgex and same with the rear bumper! The bumpers should be yellow heres the sled you should have!

nice sled. but i still love the looks of that indy 500 WOW! and the black C&A skis and deep lug track and the black windshield makes it even look hotter than that edge x 600 you got.

I think he has a mixbreed of a 02/03xcsp600/700 and 02/03edgex600.. Rear skid is deff out of an xc no fishbones also native to an xc and red front suspention parts as mentioned above also native to an xc.

I think the hood and pan are off an 03 Edge X 600 and the rest including the chassis, skid, vents, bumpers are an 02 XC 600 like this one.

someone b4 him changed the decals on the hood.Id get an edge-x seat cover decal to smooth it out. Clean looking sled,and that lil indy 500 has alot of miles left,my nephew has a 97 with 96XX miles on it.

Hmm well that's interesting. It seems i always get messed up stuff. I don't think this has been crashed. every thing looks nice and straight. And i don't know how you could change the registration from one tunnel to another with the different VIN numbers and all. Do you think what they sell in Canada could be different? The registration is for an 02 600 Edge X.
Still will keep this sled, as it is much better than the Indy 500. I had terrible luck with that one too. I have no idea why every one says those engines are so awesome, cause I rebuilt that one way to many times. And to make things more interesting every time it blew up for different reasons. Once a coolant hose rubbed through leaking all my antifreeze out, which i understand is not the engine fault. Second time the wiesco piston ring some how rotated to a port, third time crank bearings failed, and last time i never checked into it yet but I think it leaned out.
So ya the plan is to sell the 500.
Really hope This sled works better for me.
As for price i payed you have to remember that people in Canada always pay more, and sure I could buy one out of the states for half the price but with current exchange rate, buy the time I get it here with importing and every thing it would cost just about the same.

I would still check with the seller and ask why this has 03edge plastics with an 02xc chassis&skid.... If its truly an 02edgex it should have m-10 just like the one in the picture i posted above^^ With all yellow suspention components!

Who said it has '03 plastics? Maybe the previous owner bought an '02 XC 600 SP, then in '03 they came out with the Edge X in black, he liked it so he peeled off the stock XC decals and stuck the Edge X ones on.
The bellypan and hood are exactly the same. 20 minutes with a heat-gun and some goo-gone and those swirly XC decals are long gone, another few minutes with the Edge X hood/bellypan decal package and there you have an '03-looking Edge X hood and bellypan. No need to swap VIN numbers and trailing arms and blah blah blah.
Also, that sled has white-faced gauges, in '03 they changed them to white with a black ring around where the numbers are.
Every single day of my life has been worse than the day before it. That means every day you see me, that's the worst day of my life.
