Ok, so a few months ago I saw some posts where guys were saying that the upgrade posts were getting lame, and that some upgrade posts shouldn't be considered upgrades because it was just a cosmetic change and not a performance based post. As far as I'm concerned if it's an improvement it's an upgrade I guess....LOL
Well to those guys I say Pull up a chair cause we're UPGRADIN the Indy this summer !
Would like comments and suggestions as we go along.
Between Artiksno340 and I we have so far put in the Xtra10 Rear skid and front suspension components
that was on a post elswhere on here. This is what it looks like so far
Now I am going under the hood and replaceing the 500 fuji with an XC600 engine totally gutting the tub and starting over with XC stuff. I believe, (and if I'm wrong I hope Artic will chime in here,) that the engine is a 98 XC 600, but we may go with alot of goodies on the engine, not sure yet. I will post more pics as I work on the sled

My buddy had a 91 indy 500, it was pretty quick. I would not mind having one for the girl.
Polaris Pro-X=Sledgehammer, and every bit as tough as one!

on that 600 invest in some SLP power packs for the carbs along with a boost bottle. Those 2 in conjuction WILL! make a difference.Clutch it up jet it down, and BTW do yourself a favor and get a new waterpump belt if you already havnt...you'll thank yourself in the longrun. All that you'll have a nice running sled

Let's put the indy 500 motor in a gocart for your "nephews". And then we'll just ride it all the time
I guess I should tell my buddy to send down the motor plate...

Nice looking indy, and a very shiny engine going in!
I'm doing some cosmetic and mediocre performance upgrades on my 86 indy 488. I'l post up a good review when im done. Good luck on the work, and enjoy, tinkiering is always fun!

Holy crap. You aren't screwing around at all. Looking at a house with decent garage tomorrow for 3rd time then offer will most likely be put in.
Time to move indy 500 and beers to wonderview. Ok, I might have been drinking a few tonight.
