Looking good. I have a stock 90 indy 650 and was gonna put the extra 10 suspension on it. Do I need to get all the trailing arms and steering arms from the extra 10? Or can I put just the shocks on it?

You need Radius rods/ Shocks/ Steering arms and Spindles
from a non crc extra 10 bolt and GO !

I might be dumb here but what sleds are non CRC? What sled would be a good donor sled?

CRC sleds use a different style steering system. it uses a steering rack and the upper radius rods are much shorter than the lower radiuus rods. that is why you would have to get front extra-10 from a non CRC sled because the upper and lower rods are approximately the same length, and fit the bolt pattern (without modifying) of the older chassis's with standard 8-inch front supsension.

here are some example sleds of non-CRC:
97 440 liquid
97 indy 500 carb
97 storm
97 supersport
97 trail
97 XLT RMK/SKS
98 440 liquid
98 indy 500 RMK
98 storm
98 superport
98 trail
99 indy 500
99 indy 500 RMK
99 trail

you would need the steering rods and the radius rods from one of the sleds above, but the trailing arms can be from any xtra-10, CRC or non-CRC.

but for front shocks, you have more choices. CRC xtra-10, non CRC xtra-10, and XC-10 front supsensions all have the same length shocks. (XC-10 is the suspension used on most Gen 2's in 1999 and 2000, such as the sled in my avatar picture)

-holeshot skid plate
-fox reservoir front track shock
-fox front shocks
-xenon low-beam bulb (very helpful at night)

Just add gas and snow!

This is the first forum ive read. (newbie) anyways, i have a 93 polaris indy 650,and i was wondering if you knew and mods that are good for it?

oh man looks like another CYI on our hands. this isn't your thread, go post your own thread asking what "mods" you can put on your sled (which doesn't exist by the way, the last year of the indy 650 was 1992. so either you got your year wrong, our your sled wrong. if you really have a 1993 and its 650cc's, its an RXL). anyways, back to you posting another lame post about "What mods can i put on my sled?" -- its called google!!! use some common sense, and do a little searching. last time i checked, there hasn't been any new upgrades for sleds since last week. so what does that mean? it means there are the same upgrades that there has always been. for example, big bore kit, studs, clutch kit, pipe and silencer. but since your just a CYI-to-be, you dont know anything about sleds, nor do you have the money to do REAL mods. so your sled will just end up like all the rest of the wannabe sno-cross racers- stupid looking 4-inch tall windshield, colored headlight cover, hand gaurds, 10-inch handle bar riser, and peeled decals.

you want a REAL mod sled, talk to the_hog
just my 2 cents.

How much longer are the steering arms and radius arms than my old ones? I think it would be easier and cheeper for me to make as much as possible. As I have all the equipment to do it. Just a thought though. Can some one give me a picture with some measurements on it? Thanks for all the help guy's.
