ok so i want a new sled but am clueless on what to get. well anyways, i want to get a 800cc or bigger. i want something newer than 2005. i ride mostly in southern wisconsin by milwaukee. And in central wisconsin. But I occasionaly go up north to ride. Well My riding style is i stay on the trail most of the time i love to go fast and i off trail on occasion. I want something that handles good throught the forest but takes the bumps good to. I would prefer a 136 track. any help would be appreciated thanks

Get a 2006 polaris 700 rmk dragon, or one of the new summit 800 rev-xp chassis. The polaris 700 is in my opinion the best engine they ever made, but the polaris 800s crap out alot. The best option for a new sled is the ski doo summit 800 rev xp, but they are expensive.

Another option would be a Ski-Doo MXZ Renegade 800r on the rev xp chassis. Those have a 136 inch track.

There is a more inexpensive summit that is 600cc and has a 146 track, ive ridden one and it has a very impressive balance between handling very nimbly, and rippin it up in the powder.

Polaris-FST switchback 136 or 144 depends on the year you get,if the updates are done the sled is easily 140-150 hp with good fuel mileage and nice ride.My friend has one of each and i was impressed, they both ride better than i expected, the 144 pushes a lil more, but not a big deal unless youre tring to race on the trails
Yamaha-nytro XTX,vector or apex 136-I rode an RX-1 Warrior and I liked it,but the newer yamahas are lighter and nicer than the old RX-1s

Ski-Doo-800 renegade "X" package or no "X" package-Ive ridden a 600 renegade,nice machine IMO

Arctic Cat-800/1000 Crossfire they have a nice Crossfire R

It boils down to preference and price,do research on the durability and ride, but you will find most people will offer and opinion based on their favorite brand, thats why i stated options from all brands.Polaris is at the top cuz im a polaris man,and most my friends are also so thats why i can give a lil more feedback on the polaris sleds.

exactly turbos are so expensive and so finicky that its almost not worth the hassle. might was well go to a larger bore and get the same results. and im saying this as a lover of yamaha, i've rode them all my life.

2009 Phazer MTX- MSRP of $11,199

2006 Ski Doo Summit 800 151"- KBB of $5,480

with the money you save you could put 6,500 dollars in mods to it.

tell me what you think the better deal is? and this is just comparing mountain sleds.

not to mention the specs on the summit blow away to phazer. reguardless of how big you are or not, more power is more power

^^^^since when does a phazer mtx cost $11,200?? The phazer has a msrp of $8000. I beleive your looking at the nytro mtx.

back on topic though xc600rmk gave you all the manufactures sleds that would fit your needs. If your looking brand new the renagade 800r looks awesome in my opinion and they should have all the kinks worked out of the motor by now. It all comes down to what you feel comfortable on and probably most important, for me anyway would be the price.

yes 8000 is correct, my apologies. 11,200 did seem a lil pricey when i looked. and i also just realized he said he wants a 136, id go with the renegade 800 also, 2007 or newer .
