For those of you who think this is just an April Fool's joke, it's not. Anyone get e-mails from Summit Racing?? They sent me and others an e-mail concerning this months ago already. What it basically is is an act to remove all major polluting vehicles from service. The govt. will give you a small, very small voucher for your old, polluting vehicle so you can purchase a newer one. It won't effect the hobbies too much, as there will be more in the scrapyards, but will make it harder to find the "classics" that a person would love to fix up. Summit Racing sent out information on how to contact the correct people on this matter and also gave you a few points or paragraphs to work with when contacting those people. This will be a volunteer act...I think that's what I heard.
Just wait, the Zeeks are going to have their way!!! It's already started. Taking recreational land away!! You seen that post on here before!! We need to stand up to them!!

Remember When the gov paid you $50-100 bucks to get those Guns of the Streets.
I heard dealers where throwing old junk pistols together, (stuff they would have thrown away) and sold them to the police. I guess some made some good money off that program.
thats what we should do, find away to sell them junked old sleds and make some money. LOL

cash for clunkers in congress now.
http://www.americanprogress.org/issues/2...nkers.html
which is supported by this woman.
http://sutton.house.gov/main/
I'd like to see the website, with a .gov at the end that shows the bill will require all old vehicles to be replaced, so far all I have seen is a bill in congress now that would give vouchers to those who wish to participate in the program.

Regardless of whether or not this program is good - can't everyone agree that clamping down on global climate shift is good?!? We only want to do what is best for the earth. If all you have to do is give up your two stroke, is that too much to ask? Especially if you are going to get some government money to buy a new sled?

Wake up bro. Global climate shift is a naturally occurring cycle that has happened before. Our impact on the environment has been so miniscule that the government's definition of "global warming" should be considered propaganda. Find any credible scientific source and it will reiterate my claim here.
You can't clamp down Mother Nature. We've tried before, and have failed. We always will.

X2- That's a fact...Every 10,000 or 20,000 years(or is it 100,000 or 200,000 years), the earth's magnetic poles change. There was a whole documentary on this. It's the changing of the poles that is playing a major effect on our weather patterns and everything else. And for the polar ice caps melting....what nobody hears is that they are growing faster than they are melting. Why is it the news always talks about the negative and not the positive?? This process is very slow and will take thousands of years to complete. All of the predictions that were given years ago with the weather patterns are happening. Show me hard evidence that we are ruining the earth and I will retract everything...... Oh, and I'm keeping my 2-stroke,,,,,until they pry it from my cold dead hands!!!

To me this seems like just another thing that shows that the government has no idea about what they're doing and that they need to get their priorities straight.

Wow, I have lost pretty much all faith in our government this past week (it started with the gm and chrysler bull**it)
And really, how the hell did the frickin tree huggin greenie pricks take over this country? Don't get me wrong, I'm all for cleaner emissions, but global warming is a bunch of bull.
Like many before me, 2-stroke for life.

This isnt going to help the global warming problem. Global warming my not be happening, but climate change is happening. Slow as it may be however, facts prove it. History shows around every 10,000 years there is a cooling and warming period. We just came out of an ice age, so based on history that has happened many times, the world is inevitably going to get warm. Global warming also causes the colder places to get colder for the most part, and the snowy areas to get more snowy. With that being said, I will ride my two stroke until the end unless technology in 4 strokes advances condiderably.
