So it was probably some of the best snow all year first of all.
The helmet cam vide will be cool, but I need time to put it together.
So lets get to it.
The M Sleds:
Power delivery was solid right off the bottom and held well through the RPMs to about 8,000.
They held that 8K really well and pulled harder than my 07 Dragon 700 all the way through with no problem at all.
I was very impressed with the power delivery and in how they were clutched.
Now the disclaimer:
I don't know if the clutching set up will be the same set up on production models, and I do know that Dave, the owner of Woody's, has a set up that he likes. That may have been it that I rode today, but honestly, I forgot to ask.
Handeling felt very predictable for the most part, until you pull it over to carve, and then it jumps right over on it's side right now with zero hesitation.
It felt different to me because it took more pull to get it to come over than my Dragon, but once it came over, it was hard and fast.
That would be good for quick desisions, but would also take a little getting used to.
I did roll it up on it's side on a small hill too. oops.
No damage done though, it was friggen deep.
Putting taller bars on it would make it better because you would have more leverage to pull it over easier and smooth that out.
Suspension felt good, I didn't ask how much travel etc, but it felt good.
Definately comperable to my Dragon.
Ergonomics were good.
That tank is really, really narrow between my knees.
The telescopic steering post is nice. I like it. It didn't go quite tall enough for me though.
Putting Oversized bar adapters and Back Country Bend bars would take care of that though.
That's definately going to be the good set up for the M series.
Stock brake lines and cables look to be able to reach that too.
Fit and finish looked to be first rate front to back.
I like the looks of the new shorty seat.
That brings me to my only real complaint about the sled at this point:
The new seat is damn slick.
All in All, really nice sleds.
They get a solid 9 out of 10 rating from me at this point, and no one gets a 10.
So now you've heard enough from me,
Here's the pics:
This is Jacob, He does sales and some parts at Woody's.
I think he has to do a lot more too, because his Dad owns the store and I know his dad. lol
Jacob is a really nice guy and very smooth on the sleds.
He was born into riding and it shows. Good guy.
This is Earl. Everyone say hi to Earl. lol
He's also with Woody's and also a really good guy.
He's ridden since about for ever and it shows.
Very smooth and he makes it look effortless.
