I have a 2004 Pro-Xr chassis with a 2003 stock 600 put into it. I am planning on ramping it this summer and am wondering what I need to do to prepare. I know I'll need to adjust my jets to account for the warmer temps. Anyone have experience with this type of application and have a starting point for jets. I was wondering if a little rich and having the cooling effect of the extra fuel would help or hurt. I'll be riding on dirt and woodchips so we'll be building a cooling pit. Is there anything else I can do to help the sled run a little cooler? I'm also looking for an exhaust setup that has a little more attitude than stock but at the same time doesn't sound like a mouse farting in a can. Again it's a stock 600 motor with no modifications. Thanks in advance for the advice!

Since you are not doing any long WOT runs while ramping you can lean it down quite a bit. Drop your needles one clip and it should be good to go. A MBRP can would sound pretty good on that sled.

I'm making the cooling pit longer and I'm going to lean the sled a little bit, and put it back on 110 for the summer. I'm also thinking about taking my track out and putting in a 1.7 without studs instead of my 1.25 with 144 and adding cooling..

Owning a race sled is like having a totally hot girlfriend..... All of your friends want to see it, feel it and check it out..... They all want to know what it is like to ride it, but if they only knew how much time and money it takes to keep one up, they would call you a fool!

I'm gonna pull the studs out of mine and keep the 1.75 track on. I'll be buying a bunch of jets soon so I'll be tinkering with that. Also I think I'm gonna drain the coolant and run straight water with that Redline product that keeps the corrosion down.
