So a few months ago I did some stuff for Gravity Worx Racing. I won't get into the details to keep this simple but basically it was an exchange of services. I developed a new logo his site (it's all over his site, literally) and now for some reason he has not come through with his end of the deal. Now, I am not the type of person to drag someone's name through the mud, and I am very reasonable as far as negotiating why something happened and so forth. On the other hand, being a business owner in the snowmobile industry, I can see how someone's reputation can be affected by how they conduct themselves with others.
Like I said, I won't get into the details on this matter but I've been trying to contact SD for months now and I get no reply so I'm worried about being compensated for the work I did for him. I hope this is just a misunderstanding and breakdown in communication but I'm reaching out to the SFers to help me get ahold of him so we can get this thing settled.

Quinlan is a little disappointed that he received HMK Highmark 4 boots instead of the Highmark Pros as he had anticipated...

Definately give him a call. I would think there is just a lack of communication somewhere. Darin has too much on the line with his business to warrant getting a bad rap, or so I would think.

A mountain lion roaming the prairie found a bull, killed it and ate the entire bull. With a heavy belly, unable to walk, the lion laid in the tall grass moaning and roaring. Soon a hunter, attracted by the roaring, shot and killed the lion.
Moral: When you're full of bull, keep your mouth shut!

I haven't seen much of him lately. He has been busy trying to acquire a house I think. He's a stand up guy and probably just needs more hours in the day like the rest of us. If I do catch him when he logs into MSN I will let him know you are looking for him.

Now wait a minute.
You contacted me and wanted to do some sled graphics and logos.
You did make the new logo in question, finally. (over a month and a half later than you had promised)
And ya, it looks cool, but it's nothing more than the font I've been using since 2004. It came on my computer when I bought it.
It's pretty much exactly what I had told you that I was working on doing my self,
and so you just whipped out what I was already doing.
I went along with it to this point,
And then when I tried to order the logo stickers from you, you decided that you couldn't do it and sent me to a nother company entirely.
You told me that since you couldn't do it, I should have them do it.
This pissed me off to begin with.
YOU came to me with this and then YOU backed out.
Truth is, that since you told me that you couldn't do it, and sent me to another company,
I took that as being the end of our deal. Plain and simple, you couldn't produce what you said you wanted to do, and you backed out.
End of story and end of deal.
That was a few months ago and I've not heard from you since.
No PM's, No E-Mails, and no phone calls.
It was never an issue, until now.
As for it being an exchange of services, that is a straight up lie.
There was NO deal for an exchange of services,
You came to me offering to do sled graphics and sell them to me, to be able to sell to my customers.
You did not produce and you backed out.
Now you are on here calling me out publically? That's a joke in and of it's self.
Maybe you should try actually sending the E-Mails or actually calling and/or leaving a message.

Sounds like a legitimate reply from SD. And given his very positive track record on here I would bet he didn't develop a split personality last night. But Darin.. Now I am pissed at you. I really want a riser block and maybe a throttle cable extension, I never sent you any money and you never sent me anything. Damn you!

Here's my .02 if you like it or not... You say you are not the type of person to drag someone's name through the mud...That's exactly what you did here. If you have a problem with a "deal" you made with someone...keep it between you and him. No need to post it up in front of everyone. If you could not contact him, do you think maybe you could've just asked if anyone has heard from him or let him know you want to speak to him? Instead, you just made yourself look like an a$$.
Like I said, just my .02...

Now ive dealt with SD on some purchases. And if he was busy or not he always responded to every PM from me same day. Now i honestly dont think you contacted him, he is not one to throw out ANYTHING dealing with a customer and especially his rep on here and anywhere Gravity Worx is displayed. There was no reason to call him out.
