Took my head off my indy 500. And i can take my finger and move the pistons from side to side about a 32 to 1/6 inch. Is that ok or should i rebuild?

You should have .004 thou of an inch clearance between the cylinder and piston walls when the motor is new. As the motor wears this will increase somewhat.
You can check the wear status of your motor by measuring the piston to wall clearance spec and the piston ring end gap specs. This can be accomplished with a good set of feeler gauges.
This would also be a good time to measure the cylinder bore and check for cylinder out of round issues, if they exist.
