Looks like there are more "recent" cold temperatures set than high ones.
However going by records isn't the best idea, everyone operates on averages so if something averages .000001 of a degree higher, everyone craps themselves, freaks out, makes 100 new laws and fines and taxes then the general population complains about it on the internet.

You are missing the big picture, just because States here arent setting any temp records doesnt mean the poles arent getting any warmer.
Must be true, its on the internet.

THEN it should be called "polar" warming, not GLOBAL warming!! And last winter the polar ice pack increased in size, but I'm sure some global warming scientist will explain that by saying "Yes Yes, see global warming MUST be true because as it gets warmer more ice forms at the poles!!"

when the polar ice is melting during its normal warm season isnt the best time to measure melting. why not measure the ice during its cold seasons?? but then that wouldnt add to the hype would it.

There are FACTS out there to support the idea of the earth having an ice age, warming, ice age, warming and so on. How can you say its not changing/warming?!..it is warming because we came out of an ice age 10k years ago! Some people on this site refuse to believe it, more so because they refuse to think the winter couldnt get any shorter.

Like I said before, these are the same scientist who were preaching gloom and doom about global cooling, when they'd milked that dry they moved onto acid rain, aids and now global warming! When they've beat this dead horse to death they'll move on, next it'll be killer astroids!!

dont forget that there was the threat that we were going to loose the oceans, then acid rain, then the hydro carbons and hole in the ozone, but they werent able to convice enough people to pass laws. now they have a majority of cook fringe leftys in washington that all want us to live in grass huts to be fair to people already poor.

The number of hurricanes, tornadoes, ect have have up considerably over the last 20 years.
The number of hurricanes and tornadoes have NOT statistically increased in the last 20 years. Although Hansen at the GISS uses faulty science in an attempt to scare people into believing it, it is not the case.

I work at a 700MW coal fired powerplant and there is 5 other 500-1200MW coal powerplants within 40 miles of the plant I work at. That is all the powerplants in the state of ND,so our county must just have MASSIVE pollution with this cluster of coal plants!!
Well I did some research on Oliver county and this is what I came up with.
2005 air pollution in Oliver County:
Nitrogen Dioxide: 0.002 ppm (standard limit: 0.053 ppm). Below U.S. average.
Ozone (1-hour): 0.061 ppm (standard limit: 0.12 ppm). Significantly below U.S. average.
Ozone (8-hour): 0.057 ppm (standard limit: 0.08 ppm). Significantly below U.S. average.
Sulfur Oxides Annual: 0.002 ppm (standard limit: 0.03 ppm). Near U.S. average.
Sulfur Oxides 24-hour: 0.012 ppm (standard limit: 0.14 ppm). Near U.S. average.
We are well below the US average in pollution!! And these facts were taking befor these plants started adding SO2 scrubbers reducing emissions even further. Powerplants do not pollute as much as people think,the white "smoke" you see coming out of the stack is simply just steam.

Glen Beck on Fox news, had about a dozen things scientist predictadid in the 70's
heres a few.
You remember our air pollution concerns? Well, if you don't, it was basically the 1970 version of global warming and the fear mongers of today. From the first Earth Day in 1970, scientists said then that, quote, air pollution is certainly going to take hundreds of thousands of lives in just the next few years alone. Quote: By 1980 the life expectancy of all Americans will be 42 years. By 1985, quote, air pollution will have reduced the amount of sunlight reaching the Earth by 1/2.
Now, consider that since 1970 the population is up 50%. Miles driven has increased by 159% and real GDP has increased 159% and here's how the air pollution, you know, that has reduced our life expectancy to 42 years, my gosh, I've been dead all these years and I didn't even know it.
Here's how the air pollution is played out. 91% decrease in the lead air quality from 1980 to 2007, 76% national decrease in carbon monoxide air quality 1980 to 2007, and 68% national decrease in sulfur dioxide air quality. And here's what's really weird about all this. We were able to do all those things without a cap and trade transfer the wealth system or any lobbyists there that were saying we're all going to burn to death in a fiery flood. But you know what, don't look at those results. You know, there's look, there's something shining over there! Is that a new Al Gore book? Oh, jeez, we're in a crisis; we need cap and trade now, everybody!

^^^ is'nt the only thing ,beleive what you want ,but how would you like to live back in the dinosaur's age were it was a constant 120 degrees,also back in the early to mid 80's here in central IL we had no power for days on end in the afternoon

The earth has been warming up since the last ice age. Its a bunch of bull. Just another way for al gore and sheryl crow to get money. Its all BS. The people that propose Global Warming know it doesn't exist.
