Stuff in my gas tank
- Any legal action i can take?

So last week i bought a truck. 97 dodge 1500 4x4 with the 5.2 magnum. So on friday night i was at a party and someone poured pop and put rocks in my gas tank.(I dident find out till later.) It started out friday afternoon we went mudding and then the party. After i left the party at 12am i got a few miles down the road and she started sputtern. So then i make it to a diner thats open 24hours and got some food. While im sitten there i get a call from my buddie sayn that afew other people seen her put **** in my gas tank. So i was wondering is there any legal action i can take if my engine blows? I drained the fuel and ran some injector cleaner and some dry gas. But i still drove 15miles down the road with it sputtern to get home.

I'd file a report with the Police Dept. Sounds like you have a witness. She would be have to pay restitution for the damages.

ya i think it damage to personal property call the local police station and just play dumb and ask them some questions them make you mind up then go from there.

In the short term, replace the fuel filter(s). Might be more than one. That'll probably get the truck back on the road considering you've done everything else to get ride of the crap.
Better question might be...what did you do to piss her off?

just do paybacks and call it good. well... dont do that, she would turn around and get you in lots of trouble. just let the police know and they will tell you what will happen

The problem with the filteres is that it has the in tank sock filter.
And i dont even know what the hell i did to piss her off.I talked to her for a minute and went and talked to other people.

Definitely contact the 5-0. If anything they can get her to at least pay for your damage, or what ever it costs to get it fixed.

Nice title. Yeah you can report her for damaged to personal property or vandalism. The motor should be fine though.

Might be time for a lockable gas cap to. I'd be calling the cops forsure. Get a quote from a shop on what it would cost to have the filter changed, drain the gas, fill it back up, injector cleaner, etc. and she'll probably have to pay it.
