Now Gordon, everybody knows that a YZ makes a fine racing bike and decent trail bike, but a street bike? Simply gearing up and slaping on a WR headlight doesn't make it a good street bike.
The fact is, we don't all live in Wanker County (where we is all relative) where a dirt bike can be plated as a street bike.
The WR is a much better choice for a trail oriented street bike then a YZ will ever be.
And besides your half ass picture, I'd still like to see your tailight and license plate, blinkers, etc..................

.i was thinking about getting another set of tires and rims to put supermoto tires on for riding it to school everyday.
Oh yea, back to the subject. Unless you really plan on riding the bike hard on the streets, and by that I mean, extreme corning, I'd save the your money and just go with decent on-off road tyres.
I run the the Dunlop D606 which is 80/20 0ff/on road tyre.
Super moto rims and tyres are cool and all, but it's decent amount of money and the duel sport tyre hooks up pretty good of road and wears really good on.
Just my thoughts..

Whatever,it works fine. See it in the back ground?
LOL. Parked behind the acient GSXR with the huge oil puddle under it.
Wanker County? lol. You should buy that ancient GSXR, It would be perfect for a old man like yourself. The puddle is gas, I was thinking about burning it. By the why Pigboy, your one of my favorites on the forum.
What's your problem? RUFWM?

Wanker County is where Peg Bundy is from.
Wanker County where we is all relative.
I reject your reality and substitute my own.

Yes you will have to change the jetting. A JD jet kit does this trick nicely, and with great tech support. http://jdjetting.com/
As far as mufflers go, I got a Hindle slip-on from this guy. http://myworld.ebay.ca/2nd-gear/ and I love it, though it is a bit too loud for the neighbourhood at night. It has a real nice thump to it at low rpm, as as it picks up it never gets shrill, just sweet rumbling thumper sound.
Congrats on the new bike, it will be good on the street and the dirt. I have an '04 plated and love it, though the front wheel is hard to keep on the ground sometimes. :P

I don't have the Canadian requirements,
I do have a chart that shows each of the states requirements as of June, 2008 though.

In Ontario, you will most likely need signal lights to pass the safety inspection. They are not legally required if the bike did not come from the factory with them, but shops don't know that.
It's pretty easy to wire some up, buy some cheap ones off e-bay and a flasher from princess auto and you should be able to wire them up yourself for about 50$
