I am lookiing for a new track for the pro x. Before anyone starts with the bs about studs and track failure. The rubber is cracked on the out side edge, right around the kevlar belting reinforcement that the track is molded around. Which the studs arn't even near to.

I want to stick with a 1" track as it will work with my nearly new 1.17" studs.

I don't like the finger tracks like a ripsaw/hacksaw. Brother had one and it/they are very noisy, makes you think something is going to fall off. Anyone know of a good track??

Know of any place that has oem take off's?

I like the 1" that is on there.

http://www.kenssports.com/eshopitems_cat...n.more.htm i have had camoplast cobra tracks on the last couple sleds and loved them. I never have ran studs as i dont like them. But if your dead set on studs you have the right idea with going with a 1 inch track. Anything taller and they seem to bend/break.

Thinking I might try haydays for a 1" oem and a speed track for the 440.

Finger tracks would probably wear down faster than a camoplast track.

The stock one i got on my is polaris but has the same pattern/however you want to say it but seems like the lugs would tear/bend easy but then again its a polaris track not camoplast. definitely good pattern though

I've rode a sled with a 1 inch Camoplast Hacksaw and it seemed to hook up any where's I took the sled.

I don't like the finger type tracks, they don't hold up on the icy hardpack trails I ride on but thanks for your input.

Take a look at a durasport I think they are called. Camoplast makes them I rode another buddy's sled with that track and it seemed to work just fine. I think its in between a 1" and 1 1/4" lug.

I got a few feelers(price) out on a carve, I guess it is a predator with a different name. Made for loose chewed up trail. Which is pretty much what I run on.

I will be picking up a 1.25" carve from him too, unless I get a good deal on the 1 3/8" track on ebay.

sounds good. I didn't notice much difference between my 1" polaris and a 1.25" ripsaw on my brothers 01' 600x. The ripsaw seemed to lay over on the hard stuff.

Do u like powder or trails If u are like me and spend 78% off trail I would look into a 1.5 intense camoplast track if you spend most of your time on trail and like to go off trail every now and then go with a 1.25 camoplat ripsaw or a 1.25 camoplast cobra.

Anything over 1" will make my 1.18" studs worthless which are pretty much mandatory on the icey tight trails in northern wi.

woodbooga: (WOOD-boog-ah), n. regional dialect, common to areas of New Hampshire and Maine including the towns of Ossipee, Alton, Farmington, Acton, and Lebanon; one who attempts to obtain free firewood to fuel woodburning appliances in an effort to mitigate expenses related to home heating with fossil fuels. Frequently used as a term of derision by non-woodburners who mock the presence of loose bark and other wood waste in the beds of their pickup trucks.
