Over five thousand years ago, Moses said to the children of Israel " pick up your shovel, mount your asses and camels, and I will lead you to the promised land".
Nearly 75 years ago, Roosevelt said, " Lay down your shovels, sit on your asses, and light up a camel, this is the promised land".
Now Obama has stolen your shovel, taxed your asses, raised the price of camels, and mortgaged the promised land.

Personally speaking im an independant, so i am not affiliated with either political party.
I dont like extremism on either side, crazy ass democrats make me want to shoot them, and die hard conservatives kill me.
That was pretty funny student driver, i laughed pretty good.
What I gotta ask is why is it that since Obama doesn't agree with a fair amount of conservative views how does that create a basis upon which to call him socialist?
Just wondering, and if you have an honest answer and not some crackpot answer like saying, "Because he's a commie!" please state it.
Now I am not some left wing nut, nor am I a hardcore right winger. I could have voted for either McCain or Obama.

Bush was the one who bailed out these companies first with our tax payer money. I don't like either of them doing that, but thats what happened first.

Like I said, I don't like it and though it is a valid form of socialism, he is carrying on the previous administration's program, and though this one small part of our government has a hint of socialism, our government is clearly capitalist.
And the only reason the government has control right now is because the last time we just gave them the money and said fix it, they used the money to pay for vacations, bonuses, and raises for all the top CEOs of the company.

It may not be a great model for a capitalist government but I personally don't want the taxes that I pay to be paying for some douchbag CEO's vacation in the tropics, the companies couldn't handle it the first time around, so now someones gotta hold their hand.

^^^^ let them go under!!! The government should not be in the business of controlling business, this whole thing started long before Bush/Obama. It is getting out of hand, we(hard working regular folks) are busting are balls and everytime we turn around we are getting taxed and taxed again, this is just opening up a wider and wider gap between the HAVES and HAVE NOTS in this country, I'm sorry but I'm tired of giving Uncle Sam over 40%(and state taxes) of my pay every week, now this health care they say is gonna cost a TRILLION DOLLARS just to start up!!! who the hell is gonna pay for that?? It just doesn't make any sense to keep funding these programs and bailing out all of these companies any more---you don't see small business'(the life blood of this country) getting any help, they go under and everyone says "oh well, to bad"!!! I'm sorry for the rant but I'm just tired of all the crap in D.C. from all of them!!!!!

No one could allow that to happen. For every auto worker job lost, 10 more auto supplier jobs would be lost. And it cascades from there. The depression that would have resulted would have made the one in the 30's look like a walk in the park.
The middle class again of course. Democrats think they can redistribute by taxing the "rich" and giving it to the poor. That equals the middle class getting screwed.
Republicans cut taxes to the rich but can't or won't cut the give aways to the poor. Again, the middle class gets screwed.
Until the middle class rises up and votes for some 3rd party candidate, nothing will change.
Oh, and the reason Obama is a socialist is that as a hardcore Democrat, he believes that anything that private enterprise can do, government can do bigger and better-read that to mean MORE EXPENSIVE
Find the line between respect and fear....then flirt with it

Agreed, American auto manufacturers have failed before and will fail in the future. The sky is not falling.
What really torks me right now is Social Security, each week a considerable deduction is made from my pay to support the Social Security system that will be defunct before I am able to see any dividends. I wish they would stop deducting from persons that will not be able to utilize it.
A woman in a hot air balloon realized she was lost. She lowered her altitude
and spotted a man in a boat below. She shouted to him,
"Excuse me, can you help me? I promised a friend I would meet him an hour
ago, but I don't know where I am."
The man consulted his portable GPS and replied, "You're in a hot air
balloon, approximately 30 feet above a ground elevation of 2,346 feet above
sea level. You are at 31 degrees, 14.97 minutes north latitude and
100 degrees, 49.09 minutes west longitude.
"She rolled her eyes and said, "You must be a Republican."
"I am," replied the man. "How did you know?"
"Well," answered the balloonist, "everything you told me is technically
correct. But I have no idea what to do with your information, and I'm still
lost. Frankly, you've not been much help to me."
The man smiled and
responded, "You must be an Obama Democrat."
"I am," replied the balloonist. "How did you know?"
"Well," said the man, "you don't know where you are or where you are going.
You've risen to where you are, due to a large quantity of hot air. You made
a promise you have no idea how to keep, and you expect me to solve your
problem. You're in exactly the same position you were in before we met, but
somehow, now it's my fault."
Political correctness is a doctrine, fostered by a delusional, illogical minority, and rabidly promoted by an unscrupulous mainstream media, which holds forth the proposition that it is entirely possible to pick up a turd by the clean end.

either way no matter what he does republicans will get angry with him. lets go through what obama could have done and why republicans would have complained:
1.do nothing, let the company fall
republicans would have said:
-he should have bailed them out
-people lost jobs
2.bail out
republicans would have said:
-wasting money
-whine about higher taxes
-blame obama for when the companies don't fix themsleves.
3.government control of company
republicans would have said:
-socialism
if there is a 4th solution that republicans wouldn't have had somehing to complain about let me know.
