I was wondering how much horsepower a 2000 polaris 440 xc sp has for horsepower. then what a dg stinger can adds for horsepower to the sled.

It should have the liberty motor, which will be puttin out about 98 horse. And they are setup to be pretty much maxed on horse power straight fromt he factory, unless you play with the clutching.

it does not take off untill 4500 rpm and has a dg stinger silencer

95-98HP all depends on the jetting. I really don't think you add extra HP with the stinger, 440's seem maxed out with there HP's bone stock.

The 440 pipes are tuned about as good as they get,thats why there is very little aftermarket for them. All your stinger is doing is making more noise and a slight weight loss.

^ Like Ramskye and RMK-King said. I personally wouldnt spend the money on the pipe, tune the clutch in right and jet it perfect.Get some reeds for your throttle response also.Look at your traction, make sure you have total hook up. You will be surprised how many bigger sleds you leave in the dust from 0-60mph.Just my 2cents

I wouldnt be surprised if that DG stinger is making your engine loose HP.
