440 problem - dang 440 right started by 440raceman

I went up to my 440 and it pulled harder than usual and would not start and dont know what to do now and how to get it started

The first thing you want to do is pull the plugs and put a few squirts of a light oil in each cylinder and pull it over. If this makes the pulling easier then replace the plugs and try starting it. if this does not make the pulling easier you may have to pull the heads to see what is going on in the cylinders. I should have asked first is this fan cooled or liquid cooled, and how long has it been sitting. Hope this helps

check the compression in the cylinders too
