Hi guys, Im looking at a 1994 chevy 1500 ext cab short bed truck. Its a Z71 Off Road... Anyways. the guy is asking $800 for it. It runs mint. And needs minor body work (mainly rockers) but the frame is fine he said. Im going to look at it Tuesday. And if i like it he said he will let me put a deposit on it. But the only thing it really needs is a 700r4 transmission. He lost drive in it. So you basically have to shift manually then into over drive. its has 235k miles on it but the motor was "supposedly" rebuilt at 170k. Its currently inspected and everything. What do you guys think? Should i buy it? I still have my 88' gmc truck. But im dropping another motor in that for my senior project. Let me know what you guys think about that 1994 chevy 1500. If i should buy it or not and what to look for on trucks typically that old and has seen the salt.
