Quote originally posted by Rock I love how you nit wits blame everything on the Dems.....because Repukes have made such a difference, like Reagan, the right's hero who quadrupled the national debt from 900 billion to 2.8 trillion on 8 years with his so called less Gov't stand! A conservitve is a myth, like a uni-corn but yet you fools only place blame on the Dems! Typical Right wing nuts! or should I say neo-cons! No need to get upset PAL. Why don't you go help Amy Klobachour and Al "sleez bag" Franken buy some houses for the next batch of somalians that come to MN. Nit wits? What are you, like 5? Regan saved this country from the F ups Jimmy Carter made but I'm not about to get into a political debate with someone as superior as you rock. Sorry I'm such a nit wit. A little over kill on the republican bumper stickers in the gallery (nuts) but to each his own. I noticed you updated your occupation recently.....HMMMM? Tech, broad term, no clue what you do nor do I give two ****s but I'm sure your position was generated by our state government. Don't bother replying to me Rock, I know I'm right, your wrong, and while your lighting your "legal" MN fireworks tomorrow I'll be lighting real ones that we're not allowed to have. Say hi to Franken for me. He's such a political genius. I'm sure no one thinks we're a joke in the house of reps now...pfffft.

Thats OK Rock..Nobama added 50% (5 trillion to a 10 trillion deficet) in less than 6 months!!! And Gov goofy isnt a conservative, he's a "progressive" republican!!
Sledneck you must be one of those "EVIL" rich people making over 250,000 a year cuz taxes on the so called middle class were not going to go up at all, thats OK I must be one of the evil rich too cuz Uncle Obama raised taxes on my smokes!! I'm just wondering what to do with all this extra cash I have now that I'm no longer a working class slob!!
Think of how this new registration tax is going to motivate people to go buy new vehicles now .
Once the messiah gets his health care passed (which he will) I'll laugh at guys like Rock who wonder why the country is bankrupt. I guess we could just print more money.

Your to stupid to see that repukes are no better than dems, But yet you give the repukes a free pass. At least I can call a spade a spade!
Climb down off your high horse and look at the spending habits of the borrow and spend of the repukes and you will see they are just as bad as the Dems. But of course the neo-cons cant see past their own nose!
Just so you know I affiliate with no party and vote both way's unlike neo-cons who vote strickly party!

I'm wondering if our beloved Republican Governer who vowed not to raise taxes has anything to do with this? Of course in order not to raise taxes and balance the budget he simply cut spending and aid across the board to state, county, and city level services. The result of course being that property taxes and yes motor vehicle taxes increase faster then the rate of inflation so that these agencies can meet their budget in the face of drastice funding decreases.
License tabs are a State Tax, so how does Pawlenty decreasing Local Government Aid affect that? I don't think a County or City can just raise State Taxes because their spending once again grew too fast. Why don't we look at this tax topic truthfully? Government spending always increases more than wages or the economy in general. This may have something to do with the fact that top to bottom- White House to City Council- the government is run by Democrats. (around 68% Dems in fact) Anybody hear anything about the economy lately? It's not going so great anymore. As a result, government revenues are decreasing. Does the government tighten their belts and cut spending like all the rest of us do?? Not a chance!! They continue to INCREASE spending. They continue to spend money on stuff that nobody could imagine 50 years ago, and nobody would believe could happen 35 years ago.
Although I don't particularly like Pawlenty, I applaud the way he tries to deal with the bloated DFL budgets that get sent to him all the time. By reducing local State Aid, he is moving budget decisions to smaller government entities like City Councils and County Boards. In general, a small, local government body like that is more responsive to the taxpayer than a bloated bureaucracy like St. Paul, or a giant, monolithic, destructive bureaucracy like Washington. At the local level, each community has more of a say in whether they want high taxes and lots of government, or lower taxes and more reasonable government. I don't want some liberal jack*ss in St. Paul taking my money and telling me how to live my life out here in the boondocks, so if Local Government Aid went away completely (offset by the proper decrease in State taxes) I would be quite happy.

As I understand what Pawlenty is trying to do, I also understand he did nothing to balance the budget, He just pushed it out till 2010 and low and behold we are still in the same corner and the next Govenor will have to deal with the mess!

Pawleny is just a "progressive" repub, nothing more than a "blue dog" dem !! I laugh when they say he might run for pres in 2012, might as well give Nobama another free pass to screw up this country for another four years!!
Now that we (the state on mn) have made ourselves the laughing stock of the US by sending a true genius like Al Franken to the senate the dems now have their super majority, the first since Jimmy Carters brilliant term as pres...Anyone remember ol Jimmy? Well by 2012 you will because we are headed back to even higher unemployment rates and double digit inflation!!

If we all sat down with a case of beer we could go on about this topic for days. We still wouldn't agree on anything. I'm letting this one go after I say this....there will be a lot of people saying,"oh crap" in the very near future. I feel sorry for them. All of my friends that are business owners are bummed however, they know they will survive this. LESS spending for a while until things blow over. Same damn thing our government needs to do. Not spend more and think it will generate all this positivity. People are scared to death right now. If it weren't for the rush, I wouldn't be buying a single new toy this year. I'm dumbfounded by how we think all of this spending will do us any good.
BTW, when the F*** is Obama going to bomb N. Korea?? Oh yeah, he wants to have peace talks with them.

He can't bomb N Korera because today he's headed for Moscow to cave in on a missle defense plan of Europe in exchange for a renewal of a nuclear test ban treaty thats really useless seeing how we and the russians have a million nuclear weapons!!!

the mn. capitol has done more to drive business out of mn. than to help it stay in. out local property taxes have gone up 300 dollars in 6 years. thats 300 per month. everytime the city needs something they raise porperty taxes.
thats why most of construction is going on in north dakota not mn. there are going to be a lot of bankrupt auctions this fall.
nothing goes like 3 holes!!
