Anyone have plans or suggestions for a two place trailer made from a sixteen foot boat trailer. just looking for other ideas or possibly a better one I have a general idea but if someone else has built one I'm all for learning from the voice of experience. Any help would be great thanks in advance

My friend just used mine for a template and built one. He built his version out of aluminum. He made many changes and it is a far better trailer then my steel Karavan trailer he used as a model.

He is not a member on the site. I will try to get him to join so he can post some pics for you or I will after I get my new printer.
He really did an excellent job!

You weld?

What kind of machine do you have?

I would consider designing your own platform. I would think raise the new platform up above the wheel wells and out over the wells. Then just use some 1/4" square stock as the bracing between some 3/8"+ angle iron. And make the whole upper platform detachable from the original trailer so it can be easy maintenance.

Just my two cents though. Good luck!
