I was in the airforce. good food, pretty girls, lots of travel not too many people shoot at you, riding from place to place not walking and last time I checked they give more money for school than anybody else just don't hold me to that I've been out awhile did I mention no one shoots at you. We send officers for that. Whats not to like about a deal like that plus you get paid with room and board hot showers clean sheets every day. But the ultimate choice is yours just be sure you can live with your choice, no regrets. If you do decide to go Semper Fi. If it sways you any there are bases in alaska and you know that means awesome sledding!
I've got mud in my blood and ice in my veins.

I spent 8 years in the Navy and were the best year's of my life(and hardest)since I spent alot of time away from home. I wouldnt change a thing looking back. I even spent 2 months In Iraq during Desert storm( did not see any real action but was still part of the process. Good luck in your endevors.

Military life is pretty nice. It has its ups and its really big downs. Really depends on your job in the military as well. All the branches dont fit one person so make sure you look into what you want to get out of your stay and what that branch can do to achieve it. I love my job, I get to play with the high dollar equipment that men dream of. Be certain it is what you want and dont go in there with a shred of doubt about what you are doing and you will love it.
Recognizing that I volunteered as a Ranger, fully knowing the hazards of my chosen profession, I will always endeavor to uphold the prestige, honor, and high esprit de corps of the Rangers. Acknowledging the fact that a Ranger is a more elite soldier who arrives at the cutting edge of battle by land, sea, or air, I accept the fact that as a Ranger my country expects me to move further, faster and fight harder than any other soldier. Never shall I fail my comrades. I will always keep myself mentally alert, physically strong and morally straight and I will shoulder more than my share of the task whatever it may be, one-hundred-percent and then some. Gallantly will I show the world that I am a specially selected and well-trained soldier. My courtesy to superior officers, neatness of dress and care of equipment shall set the example for others to follow. Energetically will I meet the enemies of my country. I shall defeat them on the field of battle for I am better trained and will fight with all my might. Surrender is not a Ranger word. I will never leave a fallen comrade to fall into the hands of the enemy and under no circumstances will I ever embarrass my country. Readily will I display the intestinal fortitude required to fight on to the Ranger objective and complete the mission though I be the lone survivor. Rangers Lead The Way!.."All the way!" <<<<<1st Bat, 75th>>>>>
