I am looking for a new bike because I am sick of canstantly doing work on mine and still haveing it break. If anyone in the Twin Cities area has a decent bike for sale or $175 or less please PM me. It would also help if it is durable because I like to jump dirt and the bike will take a bit of abuse! :P
Thanks-

I have a gorgeous dirt jump mountain bike i built up a couple of seasons ago. It's a specialized P.1 chromoly with a 24 inch rear wheel(Shimano deore with sun double wide rim), eastern lectron cranks, Snafu pedals, hayes HFX 9 hydraulic disc brakes front, and rear specialized fuze seat with a cannondale omega 20mm front hub laced to mavic 321 rim truavativ hussefelt DH high rise bars, profile designs 4 bolt spider with an FSA bottom bracket, FSA pig pro sealed headset maxxis minion DH front tire nokian gazziladi(Sp?) 24"x2.5 rear tire, single speed with a marzocchi drop off IV fork. I rode this bike at keystone, and winterpark for two seasons without problems as well as raced dual slalom at platekille last season with no problem. Didn't fare well but that's cuz im a crappy rider(Not really, all the other guys are just really good). This bike rips. It's not a BMX bike, but it's still one hell of a deal. I want $250.00 for it

Well, I can ship it for $30.00, or 50.00 at the most. It's not completely ready to go, it needs a 5 bolt chain ring(A decent race face is $30) and a brake bleed(Hayes kit with fluid is $35.00). It's a gorgeous bike, as a matter of face. i'll try to post a picture. I hope that works If you're in albany, maybe i could meet you half way? The bike has the usual dings/scraps that this kind of bike usually has. Frame is in great shape, so is the rear wheel however i'd have them trued just to make sure. The rear tire on it right now is a panaracer free ride 2.4" rear tire and a maxxis slow reezay 2.5" which is a fantastic tire as well. i just have too many freaking bike parts at the moment to know wtf i have. Fork works great, dual chambers, and the stanchions are in great shape fork lowers are dinged/scuffed up from rock gardens while i was in CO, and the bike is probably the 'best' bike youll find for the price range for what you want to do. Unless you buy it off a crack head, in which it's stolen

In all seriousness(I'm not trying to sound like an ass or to make $$) but, if you want a bike for under $350.00 this is the bike to buy. it's extremely low maintanance, extremely burly, it'd be hard to find a bike that's comparable this cheap.(A spec'd bike like this would generally be about $1,500+) for an SS hardtail. The reason i'm selling it so cheap is because 'i got breaks when i started' and, i made the mistake of buying a crap bike the first time for $400.00 when i started out biking/dirt jumping, and then i just had to go, and buy a new bike because i snapped the rear tri in a month

im in watertown NY. Most bikes in the dirt jump/free ride world that are about $800-900 come with sub standard parts. Not exactly the best, especially if you want it to last. The parts i've got on this bike are all top notch. I've built this bike for extreme abuse, and to take a serious thrashing. If you wanted to spend $300.00-400 on a bike, you would probably end up with a specialized hardrock sport without disc brakes, or any of that good stuff which is a good 'bike' for the price. But you can usually find a nicer used bike for less, or a little bit more. I know buying a used bike is hit, or miss. But i used to work at full cycle in colorado(They hated that i was a specialized person). And, then when i moved back i helped out at black river adventurers shop right here in town. I'm willing to substitute my BMX crank set for a lighter not quite as burly crank set, and put a mechanical rear disc brake on(80% of braking power is from the front), and i coule knock the price down quite a bit as well. Or, if you're riding just street/dirt or whatever, you can just use the rear brake(Like most people). And, that'll save a bit of $ as well.

Man, it's been soooo long since i've been up there. I used to work at snow ridge though so i'm pretty sure that I can find it. How far from snow ridge is it again? Or what about Martys gas station? I used to fill my quad up there alot.
Also, if you have any polaris plastic skis, maybe an xtra 10 rear skid, i'd also be up for full/partial trade as well if interested.

yeah, if you PM me your email ill send you a pic or two. It does need a front chain ring, but i can even toss in a different crank set(You'll need to have it installed, i would but i dont have my tools any more). Or, you can buy a new chain ring for like $25.00
And, as i said i want to help people out. If you ever need any help let me know, and i'd get back to you. And try to get you discounts on parts as well
