I think if America want to spend money it should be on itself for something worth a s*** rather than other countries or failing companies...

Yeah, but puerto rico is part of the United States of America... ever heard of a commonwealth. If not hears a short little overview. They pay US taxes, serve in the US military, live under US laws on top of whatever laws their country mandates, and are consider US citezens accept they dont have US rights. So actually, by giving a bunch of money to Puerto rico to build roads, Puerto rico will have to hire more workers, which more workers means more people that have to pay taxes, only thing is is that puerto ricans arn't elegable to get any of that tax money back at the end of the year. So really, the millions that we give them will turn out to be billions back into our pockets, which is money we can use up here for whatever.

You'll have to forgive the people that simply take the right wing extremist political rhetoric as fact, they don't know that they are being misled.

As we we led to believe this trillion dollars was meant to stimulate the US ECONOMY, not Puerto Ricos economy!! And I really doubt that 105 million in infrastructure aid is going to create "billions" in tax revenue, as Puerto Rican construction workers probably fall short of even making poverty wages!!
As far as ugly poo kids comment, I'll just ignore his comment as he lives in a communist providence anyway!!

I should add that I dont neccissarily agree with what they are doing myself, but if you look deep into, a billion or so dollars is what they figure we could get out of Puerto Rico... atleast thats what my stupid, fat, ignorant economics teacher said.
But I think whats a little more important and what bothers me almost a little bit more than what the door knobs in congress are doing with our money, is that we are taking money from people that don't fall underneith the protection of the constitution, so that we can use the money to help the US and only the US, not puerto rico. Yeah we are opening up more jobs for the puerto ricans but your right, puerto rican construction workers are probable making less than poverty wages so we really aren't helping out puerto rican's, we're just funding a puerto rican highway that they probable won't use, just wo we can stick a couple bucks in our back pocket...

It's a nice concept but NOWWHERE will you find the gov't invest a 100 million into something and get back a billion in tax revenue, it works the other way around, if they invested 100 million in something they'll probably get 100,000 back in tax revenue and some genius in washington d.c will proclaim what a smashing succuess it was, "look we made 100,000 dollars on the deal" they just always "forget" to inform the taxpayer it cost them 105,000 million!!
