Dirty_harry.. come on what? something to say?
What dirty harry is saying is that an srx does not go 135 mph, nor does any other stock trail sled. So get your facts straight before you start posting things you have no clue about. Thats what. Do you have something to say?

I have an xcr 800 and I smoked every srx I have ever run againts. You probably have never seen a srx run an xcr and have no facts to base your statements on. All I'm saying is dont post stuff unless you can back it up.

heres how i see it so far ...yet i dont know any of these sleds well as ive never owned a triple ( i did own a indy 5 , vmax 5 , a few ovation 340s in the younger years , a bravo long track when i was eight , and most recently , a 03 zr 800 twin efi . i liied the zr but i always wanted a triple . just almost purely for the noise those things make . my zr could prolly run close or beat a few of the sleds i named but i dont care honestly . i just love those triples .
my bro used to have an old indy 650 triple modded up lightly ...i fell in love with that thing . even though im sure my old twin could eat it , i found that old tripple just felt more powerful , and i loved the wracket lol .
so heres the bit i kinda gathered ...
most reliable prolly trouble free would be the srx . good sound and mileage too , but a not too forgiving suspension , but im not that into ditch banging anyway truthfully . so that could be a good match fer me .
2 . xcrs are quite posibly box stock a bit quicker than the srx and maybe the mach z , but i gotta say the look isnt for me .
3 . the mach z i find has the looks , prolly not the most powerful here in this company , but i like the sled overall . just looks meaner than the other three ,...of course thats tootally objective and debatable .
4 . the t cat has just an amaing powerplant . guareenteed to scare the hell outta me , which i like lol . awesome sound and raw hp . but something that big i would guess it would be noticeably harder on fuel and maybe a chour to toss around more than the others ...but how about reliabilty ? i hear the late 90s cats were problem prone ..is this true ?

The suspension I always thought felt like a cloud soaking up bumps, or am I the only one thinking that.

My friends dad this, my dads friend that. Whatever, you have no clue what your talking about. From what I heard those sleds are slow out of the gate you say, well what makes you say that? Have you ridden an xcr? Have you seen one go? Have you ridden with someone that was on one? Exactely you havent, so quit posting sh#t that you know nothing about. You hide your age because your a little kid babbling on the internet and its annoying. If you can post real world facts about the xcr 800 go ahead. If not, keep your yap shut and learn something from the people that do.

Honestly for what you are looking for you could not go wrong with any of your four choices. My list for those fhour would be: 1. SRX (because I own on) 2. XCR (because I grew up on Polaris) 3. Thundercat (amazing power) 4. Mach Z And listen to us (promod, xc1000, SXMTX, ugly_old_poo_kid) that actually own the sleds you are looking at not some kids who thinks they know what they are talking about because there Dad's Cousin's Uncle's Brother has one. You can't beat this sound!

o man that made me smile . love that sound , and for a somewhat front heavy sled ( i mean cause its a triple triple ) it walks the skies very impressively . the srx seems to look somewhat physically smaller than the rest from what i seen . very nice . i really dont think i could go wrong buying an srx . they are a reliable sled from what i gather . thanks for the video bud .um if u dont mind me asking , is that how she is stock , or do you have much mods done ? just curious , thanks again .

Hey prick, this is my xcr.Its a 2001 and has pipes and reeds, and it has 4000 miles on it and it is clean as a whistle. The motor pulls hard from a stop all the way to 115 plus. I have an edge rear suspension installed but the ride still leaves something to be desired. Honestly you cant go wrong with any of these sleds, they all kick ass and arent being made anymore so they will be sought after in the future.

I'm a xcr and mach z fan, so those would be my choices. I rode with a srx 700 this year in cochrane ontario and I was on the xcr. We did 420 miles in one day and if you have ever been to that area the trails are flat and straight and you can run 100 mph all day long. So putting on that type of mileage isnt un heard of. The yammi and my xcr ran flawless that day and we had a ton of fun. Although we ran the sleds off and my xcr would pull the yamaha. But the point is they are both fast sleds and reliable if taken care of and you wont go wrong with either one. Thanks for the compliments guys and HOG you got a bad ass sled there your self.

I'm not trying to start nothing, but I know what I am talking about on the srx. I ride my dads srx more than my snowmobile, and I know the suspension is way better than our other 3 sleds, not including my sno pro. I know it is hella fast. I know I can beat zr 600's off the line and to the end off the field with it, and those are the only sleds I've actually raced against.

^^^^HAHA. Now thats funny. Your comparing a 800 Triple triple to a 600 twin. What did you expect?
Hey Prick, If your looking at the newer T-Cats in the 00-01 range I've heard nothing but good about them. The ZR chassis is a tried, trued, and proven chassis and thats why Arctic Cat stuck with it for so long. Don't be afraid of the suspension or chassis because they can take a beating. Now, I don't have much knowledge of a triple motor because I've never owned a triple but the newer motors were strong, reliable motors and thats why it can be hard to come across an owner who is willing to sell.
What is kind of funny to me is that on this forum I hear about how Arctic Cat isn't reliable and how everybody knows somebody who has problems with Arctic Cats. But then I go to websites like Snowest where there are tons of people switching to Arctic Cat because of how reliable they are, especially their mountain sleds. The point I'm trying to make is to make your decision based off your gut instinct and how much you think YOU will enjoy the sled. Whatever decision you make, make sure the sled you purchase has been properly maintained and taken care of. A lot of problems with sleds these days is owner error in not maintaining their sleds, and then they wonder why things break....
PS, check out HAYDAYs if you haven't bought a sled by that time. Lots of sleds to be looked at and usually fair prices.

yeah man true . i had very minor problems with my old zr and all pretty much just regular maintenence . cats do get a bad rap , but i think its cause i know in my area it seems that cats have always had a rep for building fast first finish quality second outlook that alot of hardcore race fans prefer . it seems around here the most modded up sleds seem to be the zrt line from the late 90s and polaris xcrs . so anything modded you can almost expect more trouble . where as most yamahas and doos i see are pretty much not played with near as much and kept more for trail . so this could be one reason cats and pols get a bad rep fer unreliabilty . my opion anyway . thanks for the feed back buddy

My Choices would be:
#1st Choice 2003 XCR 800 it has the best updates of all the XCR's and the 2000 - 2003 XCR's were the best handling triple in there time.(159HP)
#2nd Choice 1998 T-Cat 1000 is just insane and holds the fastest stock 1000ft world recored to date (172HP)
#3rd Choice 2002 Yamaha SRX 700 another classic lake rocket with massive legs that you don't want to mess with when set up right (142HP)
I own and XCR 800 and a T-Cat(modded) love them both but the xcr is the best triple all around in my opinion. Stock to stock it will pull on any triple except the t-cat in real world conditions. Do a search you we will see I have posted so much about all three of these sleds and many more triples. I have a lot of facts to back me up and if you have any questions just ask!
Cheers

For the Record prick, XCR and HYPER are probably two of the most knowledgeable guys on the forums, even more so in the triple section. I would highly weigh their thoughts above many others. Even though I'd hope you would pick the T-Cat myself because I'm a cat guy, I've heard the XCR is an excellent sled also.
PS HYPER, that XCR of yours is a nice looking sled. I prefer the looks of that sled over your Cat which hurts me to say! But I do love the look of the 2000+ Thunder Cats...

Just because you rode Daddies sled once does not mean you know what you are talking about. You are 15 and have already proved in this thread you have no idea what you are talking about. You are a child stick to what you know, stickers, baked cans and 24 inch risers and leave the real info to people who actually own one of these sleds.
1200 WC coming soon
