1992 - wildcat 700. . . what a waste of money, put more into it for repairs and still gives me nothing but headache. It bogs out randomly and is not reliable enough to truly take anywhere, who knows. NWR

1990 A.C. Prowler
Bought it for $700, and have sunk another $700-$800 over the past 4 year's to go from this
To this
1987 ElTigre I got from Butcher Boy for $300, I've put about another $400-$500 in since I got it.
1998 EXT 600 Triple Bought this last spring for $750, I've already put about $400-$500 into it and have'nt even put any mile's on it yet.
2K1 ZR800 skid (not installed yet), New seat cover, Lefty Throttle kit, Hood Screen's, and a Holeshot Skidplate (also not installed yet).
Still looking at dropping another $300-$350 for ski's and carbide's, I want another set of Kimpex's like I have on the Prowler.
None of this was neccesary to ride any of them, Just have to make them "MINE"!!!

Heres my money pit. I love the sled and always have something else I want on it.
Might be sellin it tho. A kid offered me about twice what its worth so who knows. If his parents give him the go ahead it will be gone.
O and there is also this one. Ive only put about 400 into it but still.
BTW its for sale if anyones interested. Quote originally posted by fox440

WOW. thats alot of dough to put down to drop a few pounds on a trail sled. I couldnt justify 500 for a barkbuster front end on my RMK.

Wow... I would never put a different bulkhead on a Pro X2. Those things are bullet proof. I had mine and wrecked it twice and never had an issue with the bulkhead. They are awesome machines.
I try not to have money pits, It costs enough for me to just ride so I keep them relatively stock and trade them every couple of years before I have to dump alot of money into them. It would be fun if I had the time and money to do it though.

Does it have to be a sled? Cause I am being relativly frugle on my sled. It's my ATV that is the money pit.

02' rmk w? the short seat slp ski"s slp twin pipes. I milled the case custom kinda neat for corecting the 800 polaris problem then swaped all the bearing on the crank for ski-doo bearings, which are german of austrian steal and can actually handle a decent amount of R's idk what else a bar riser the head is cut.lol its never ending. and im going through the motor again this for this season. Maybe one day ill learn and just get a Doo lol;) The smile you get is worth every penny tho!
racing is a addictive money pit! this is before it was done. ran the motor from sled above just because of the povervalves and got away with it in the stock class.
2002 rmk 800
Slp twins w/STINGERS!

simmons ski's

Slightly off your main topic but yes. Those motels and restaurants that have gas sure like to put a hurting on your wallet. Not usually the best gas either.
I noticed the same thing in Rhinelander last winter.
