My friend has a ext 580 and he just rebuilt it and it only has 105 Compression. all our other sleds have 120 and we were just wondering if 105 is ok.

How many miles has he put on it since the rebuild? It could be that its not broke in yet.

well you can tell if the issue is rings by adding oil to the cylinders and then do the compression test. The other thing that it could be is the compression tester. Try your tester on another motor that you know that is good.

What was done to be "rebuilt"?

105 psi for a rebuilt engine is NOT good period!
If you are getting 120 on other sleds with the same tester then rebuild is not good, answer the first question and we will go from there

Fix it till its broke!
