pretty much everything you described in this topic is what BRP-4-LIFE used to be all about...oh wait...

Ive been thinking that since post #1.

And "sledcrusher-
I put handguards on my parents touring, and i think everyone would agreee that two 55 year old people, one with cancer and one never haven driven a sled, will most likely not destroy the sled.

But the handguards do this funny thing, i was wondering if you could help me out with it...........

I know im talking like a jerk, but this kid is stirring up sh*t again!

"They guard my hands from the wind!!!!"^^^

Exactly! They are very functional and I would add them to any sled I have in my stable other than vintage. They also eliminate tender knuckles if you have a buddy who likes to roost you on the crest of every hill:)

Risers are also functional in my opinion. Added 2" on mXZ-583 and 3" on my Rev. It has helped the handeling on both sleds for me by alowing me to post with ease. However I don't see a need for 6"+ risers on a machine used for trail riding. Racing and
big powder is another story though.

My SnoPro 440/700 came with an 8 or 9" riser on it ( which was overkill ), so I took them off while I owned it and replaced it with a 5" riser, and sold the sled with both.

And trickpaint, I agree with you about the roost. They are definitely great for that, especially when your friends like to roost you in slush.

I didn't quote it but someone said that this thread is going nowhere. And it got there fast!

Sean, you said that a sled may be beat just based on the fact that it has a cracked hood or a bent bumper? IT'S A SNOWMOBILE!!! IT'S NOT A ROLES ROYCE OR A BENTLEY! THEY ARE MADE TO BE RIDDEN HARD AND ARE DESIGNED TO TAKE PUNISHMENT.

Talk about one sled that had its ass handed to it.

So you are agreeing with SD that you are sending out total mixed messages?

I think that most sleds with risers and handguards in my area are beat to crap. I think that my SnoPro 440/700 was beat to crap, how is that a mixed message?

Okay so you aren't sending mixed messages you are just saying that you're a hypocrite, by saying you hate all the things you have on you sled. Which you sold might I add.

triple650, you realize I've already made a post about the return of me, correct. You guys just have a hard time getting over things, which is why there becomes so much unneeded tension. A lot of you need to relax.

Keep making posts that are demanding like that and you'll be back in no time big guy

Don't buy a race sled expecting it to be taken care of and trail ridden it's whole life. I got what I was expecting for condition.

You told me you got F*ed on that deal.

So wait,

You bought the sled, expecting it was going to be a POS?

Why did you buy it then?

If I knew the sled was a pos I wouldn't buy it, but what do I know.

I was not around 4 Brp but why does sled crusher have so many enemies LOL and oh yea sled crusher I recently put hand guards on my sled and one of my friends bought a sled with guards and a 6 inch riser that was one reason he bought it because he is 6'4 and did not want to do work on the bars

You realize they werent the same snopros, right? One of them was an 04' 440 ( the one with the monster graphics ), which was a great deal for me. Than I wanted something more trailable than a sled with a 5 gallon tank and 5-8mpg. Sure, it was fun, but not for me. So I went with a 440/700, and thought it was gonna be a great deal, thats the one I got screwed on.

So why was an 8" or 9" riser overkill? Overkill for you because you are pushing what? 5'3" with your boots on?

With my bar setup and riser it is like having a 7" riser and it is just about right, I could handle an inch or two more out of it but am lazy and don't want to install extensions on the cables.

5' 6" without boots, which is still pretty short, so the bars were way to tall for me.

If I had 4000 I would buy that rev with no regrets except one i would feel like a traitor to polaris but that is a very good looking rev I would like to see more pictures if I had to buy it but it is not a bad sled I would have to buy hand guards for it

Here is an excellent option of you don't want to worry about how the sled was ridden, taken care of, bar risers, low windshields and hand guards...Buy a new sled and trade it off every few years to avoid losing too much value.

I've got a 8 incher on my f5, I could go taller but you have to remember my sled isn't rider forward, so its a little different. Im about 6'1" and I boondock and ride ditches.
EFP, you must understand that it is purely about preference.

yeah but didn't he say 600? and if he had tunnel bags it probably was not ridden that hard also the 440 windshield might look like it was ridden hard but the 440 even the 600 racers have the low windshield the guy probably liked the look of the windshield and threw one on. Ever hear the saying don't judge a book buy it's cover? I am not saying this is the best machine in the world but I bet it had a better life than a certain sno-pro that some one had on here, but people on this site have converted race sleds into trail sleds and have had no problems. Even people that have revs like that know that if you go through that sled when u buy it and before each winter and replace a few things here and there those revs can take a good beating and get right back up and continue to take a good beating.

Hmmm.. very interesting, those handguards on my moms rx-1 make it trashed. Ah and the riser on my dad's viper means it's a pos. Oh and I took the windsheild off my sno pro so obviously I launched it off a cliff after I poured 37 gallons of gas on it and lite it on fire.

Oh by the way hi sean nice to see your back, how many sleds have you had since you were last present?

Owning a race sled is like having a totally hot girlfriend..... All of your friends want to see it, feel it and check it out..... They all want to know what it is like to ride it, but if they only knew how much time and money it takes to keep one up, they would call you a fool!

The bags dont mean anything either. I had an MXZ 600 with a handlebar bag, and that sled was run down.

That's because you don't make good points.

Maybe if you thought before you spoke you wouldn't have started this dumb thread and got off to a bad start on your second time back at SF. Don't forget you got banned before anyone hated you, then came back and got banned again.
