I need a new track this year so I am checking out my options. At first I wanted a Camoplast cobra but like my dad always says you can buy the first one you see. I do a lot of powder riding and a lot of trail riding. I won't be studding the sled this year but maybe next.

Camoplast carve 1.25"- How does it do in the powder? I have never heard good nor bad about these tracks.

Camo cobra 1.352"-Same price as the carve, but I have heard good about this on trails and powder, but I am worried I will want more in the powder.

Camo intense 1.5"-I have heard that these will fold over on hardpack which would definately ruin my day. But I know theres a few here who swear by them. It's also a little more expensive than the cobra.

Please tell me if you have had good experience with another type of track. I only listed camoplasts here because CBPerformance has great prices. I prefer paddle styles over finger style tracks.

Thanks for any help

I have ran a cobra for the last 2 seasons. Works awesome on the lose trails and hardpack. I am thinking about swapping out the ripsaw on the rush for a cobra.

How does it do in the powder? Better than the ripsaw?

^^^ It works well in loose snow. I have not ran a ripsaw so I cant tell you first hand how they compare but everyone i have ever talked to says they are hands down better than the ripsaw in the loose snow as well as on the trails.

I would be willing to sell the ripsaw off of the rush but it is a 120 track with the 2.86 pitch I believe.

I was looking for the same type of track last summer. Looked at the cobra and intense, but was worried about durability (read some horror stories about the cobras getting chewed up quickly on the Z1 Turbo, but it seems like they are holding up now?). Ended up going with the Cat Sno-Pro 1.375" paddle track. This is the track that came stock on 05 and up ZR 900 Sno-Pros so you know it will withstand some abuse. I was pleased with its on and off trail performance last season. I got the track for $385 shipped from Kensports on ebay

How does this track do on the trails? Does it hook up good on hardpack? Thanks for the responses.
