Brake Pads - How do I replace brake pads started by xc700rider

Hi guy's
I have a 1992 Polaris Indy 500 I would like to replace the brake pads on, it has 4600 miles on it, does it really need it, do I really have to pull the chain case of to so it ! Also, I have a 1998 xc700 I would like to change the pads on also, it has 6400 miles on it, andone have ideas on how to do it,

you should be able to look down and see how much pad is left on both machines
I have put 6000+ miles on different machines and never had to replace brake lining

Thanks for the Info. How was doing the job yourself ? You mentioned getting coolant all over the place, How do you bleed the coolant afterwards ?

Thanks for the Info. How was doing the job yourself ? You mentioned getting coolant all over the place, How do you bleed the coolant afterwards ?
you don't have to take the coolant hose off, just a little patience, its a tight squeeze but it will come apart without needing to drain coolant.
