I am looking for a used set of plastic skis for my 93 trail, figure its time, there's holes rusted through the stock steel skis. One of the sets im looking at are kimpex composites, havent heard much about them. how do they hold up? how well do they handle/perform? how are they compaired to say a stock polaris plastic?
Snowmobiling is more than a hobbie, its a life style.

Do You actually have a set? or are you just a member of the anti Kimpex group.
I've had them on My Prowler since last summer, and have been very pleased with their performance and handling.
Of course the carbide's you use on them can make a Huge difference, 4" single's wont handle anywhere as good as 9" Duelly's
I've also got a set of C&A's on My ElTigre, and personally I like the Kimpex's better.
Don't get Me wrong, I like the C&A's, I just like the Kimpex's better.

Either way they will be a huge improvement from stock steel skis, and they should hold up fine.

That’s probably why how big where the carbides on the Kimpex ski's you will notice a hug difference going to smaller ones from a 10".

I dont want to hoot my own horn, but... hell why not... they hold up very well. We sell thousands of yets every year with 1% returns on the new composite systems. I seen the production line for them last year. It takes approx 2 hours per ski to be molded and cooled, then they let them sit 24 hours after they cool off, to ensure that all hardware will fit just right. Its very interesting.
Sledding is the life. All I want to do is Ride.
