Right now I have a HJC model CL-15. I am looking for a tinted shield and can not seem to find one.

1. Does anybody make one for this model or one that would work with a little modifying?
2. How are the stick-on light sensitive ones? Are they worth $40.00?

for a snowmobile? I have 2 CL-15's for my motorcycle and tinted shields. Can buy them at the dealer or all over online. They are only single layer however and not dual layer like a sled lens.

I wonder why when I ask, they say they can't find any?

Has anyone tried the stick-on (static) ones?

Try helmet harbor, thats where i found mine.

I dont use it in the winter though because its not anti fog or anything.

Dennis Kirk has them on page 14 of their 2009 snowmobile catalog

Shield, anti-fog dual lens $32.99
Clear - Part#32-4878
Amber - Part#32-6045
Smoke - Part#32-6046

I've got the same helmet as you and bought the dual lens smoke shield last year from them. I really like it on the sunny days, no need to try to wear sunglasses inside your helmet that way. Give their customer service line a call, they're pretty helpful.
