Well I came to my senses and sold my RMK. I picked up this 2003 Mxz 600 for a good price. This winter I am just going to jump and ditchbang. Basically beat up on it so i don't want to put too much money into it.
I want to do a little work to it. So far I am thinking a new windshield, handlebar set up and rumble pack or jaws can.
What would you do and what can would you put on?

looks good. I'd recommend doing the beaver tail delete kit on it. My friend has a sled identicle and the first year he had it he landed on the back end it ripped the whole thing right off and ended up totalling his sled. Also that'd help for ditches id assume

definetly go wit the rumble pack! these things sound awsome!!!
nxt if u r gunna jump i would go wit bigger bar riser. and then the one thing u most definetly got to do is put a beaver tail extention kit on it!!! those beaver tail setups r a pain in the balls if u get stuck!!
newer yr but would still sound the same!!!

I bought it from a dealer and they did a run through of the whole sled so i don't have to worry about that. I have done some research on the delete kit. Anyone here actually done one? pricing?
I sold my rmk because the engine blew twice last year and it turned into a money pit.
As for the bars I am going to position them upright not angled like they currently are and then rise them way up. I have watched that rumble pack video many times...hard to get much better than that.
Thanks for the opinions keep em coming

The beaver tail delete kit is a good thing to do because Ski-Doo had lots of complaints with the tail getting filled up with snow and when you tried to lift it up and put it on a path next to u when u were stuck the back of it would collapse and made u think that u will never get it unstuck Ski-Doo was actually giving people the delete kits so that they could fix that problem, That is why I am a little insecure about the new Polaris Rush's

Definitely get the delete kit like mentioned above. But for some reason I really like blacked out revs IMO. But If it were me, the first thing i would do is cut the wind sheild and get a rise and new bars. I hate the looks of 03/04 rev bars.

That has to be my favorite sled, the delete kit is a must. We tried getting a friends sled unstuck with the beaver tail, boy was it a pain.

A couple things that are a must for that sled. 1. Beaver Tail Delete Kit - Couldn't get the how-to link to work, so just copy and paste this into your URL bar. http://snowmobile.off-road.com/snowmobile/How+To:+Body+and+Frame/Simple-Snowmobile-Upgrade/ArticleStandard/Article/detail/491945 2. Knee Pads. I prefer the factory Ski-Doo ones over the skins protective gear ones. They look better, and seem to be not so flimsy. 3. One thing I think your old Polaris had ( Im pretty sure ) was heated runner boards. The Ski-Doo does not have them. So something like Snow Eliminators or even some good grips on your runner boards are a great add-on. 4. A clutch kit. This will really make your sled show it's true potential as far as power goes! That's about it. There is endless amounts of things you can do with the Rev platform.

No. It's not like a glass pack. You have to get the one built for your sled. But, like, a 500ss Rev can will fit on a 500ss rev, and a 600 h.o. rev. An MXZ 600 can will fit a MXZ 500/600/700. Just look at a chart to see what will fit what.

Yeah my favorite revs are the blacked out ones as well. The windshield is loose and really tall so that will be fast to go. I agree, I don't like the handle bar set up. It isn't set for agressive riding.

I busted in the plastic on my RMK because i didn't buy any knee pads for it, definatly a good choice. There are actually running board grips on it already and threre is a little space for snow to go through.
Thanks for all of the help guys

Just a question, but, how do you blow up a RMK 600 twice in one year when you only road 680 miles?
Anyways, riser is a must, clutch kit is very nice, beaver tail delete as said above, can if you want to hear that Doo scream. And for my personal taste I'd clean up the look by making the sled all black and no decals. Nice sled you got there, hope all goes well.
