I saw a 2001 yamaha sxr 700 with a nice tilt 8x8 trailer for $1100. It has 9500 miles but the guy says its perfect and the pics look really nice. Is this a good deal and how nice are these snowmobiles? Anything I should look for?

That is alot of miles, find out about engine work. Otherwise, that sounds like a hell of a deal. THose sleds have some speed in them. I almost traded my SKS for one, same year.

SXR and SRX are two completely different sleds if i'm not mistaken. I think the SRX is the really fast one.

I think the SXR is a single pipe triple and the SRX is the triple triple? I think the SXR had the better suspension though.

The yamahas are really reliable, if the motor has been rebuilt ever I would say go for it!

SXR- Better suspension (still sucky, yamaha never got suspension good), Triple cylinder, Single Pipe, Non-powervalved
