hey everyone, right now, on my f5, I have a 128X13.5X1 inch track. I have been looking around for parts for my sled and I came across a 128X13.5X1.375 inch track that will fit my sled. If i used this track would I notice any change in performance? I know I would loose a little bit in the top end, but will I notice and difference in how my sled hooks up? It is only .375" difference..

Off trail or in loose snow it would be a huge improvement. I love my 1.375" track

I've talked to so many people that putting a 1.25 inch on their sled over a 1 inch made a truckload of difference overall.

No difference on hard pack trail, on loose deep snow yes but on trails nope.

woodbooga: (WOOD-boog-ah), n. regional dialect, common to areas of New Hampshire and Maine including the towns of Ossipee, Alton, Farmington, Acton, and Lebanon; one who attempts to obtain free firewood to fuel woodburning appliances in an effort to mitigate expenses related to home heating with fossil fuels. Frequently used as a term of derision by non-woodburners who mock the presence of loose bark and other wood waste in the beds of their pickup trucks.

If you're looking to hook up on the trails then studs are your better option. But if you want this track for the loose stuff then by all means go for it.

I would personally go with the 1.375" track, but that's because I tend to venture off trail a lot. On groomed trail/hard pack you may or may not notice a difference, but in any kind of loose snow or powder you should certainly notice the difference.

For me deeper lug is better. Might get me a 2" track for my Gade next year.

If you've got the funds, take a look at a camoplast cobra. I've rode a sled with a cobra and wow, it will be my next track to be put on my pro-x that's for sure!

With a 1.375, you'll be able to play in the powder a little better without getting stuck. You should'nt notice much of a difference on the trail besides cooling. Your F5 will cool well with either track anyways. I know of a person who won a race with a 1.375 track so you should'nt lose much speed. Go for the swap. I'm gonna get a new track this year too...im looking into a 1.5 or 1.7.
