December 7th, the Town of Webb/Inlet trails open for the season in Old Forge, NY
33rd Annual Snodeo Weekend December 11,12, and 13th. Great time to start off the season by hittin' up the trails in the ADK's. Wondering if anyone from the site is planning on going to to Old Forge for the Snodeo this year? If anyone is thinking about planning a group ride or if your attending bby yourself and would want to join for a ride. I'll be up there riding with the Twin Tier Sleddin' Forum people but encourage anyone and everyone to check it out. It's a blast every year!

Think Snow!

I did not know of this event. I will be their i'll put in for those days off at work. When time gets closer i would meet up for group ride(S) where do you all stay. Last season i stayed at Big Moose Inn.. it was rather pricey but sweet to be right on the lake.

It is a fun time. They usually get a decent amount of snow. I usually stay at my friends camp or the Adirondack lodge. I am counting down the days and got my vacation time in for work already. I prefer riding in old forge at times because there is less traffic. But dont get me wrong I still like the hill.

you could always get a week pass they are not bad what i did last season. I like the old forge area too. Last season was my frist time up their ever. I rode to the station every day for breakfast/dinner then would head over to stillwater to mess around on the lake and have a beer. I met up with a guy last year and in a few days we put on 350miles easy what a great weekend. pretty sad since where i live i only got in 75 miles for the whole winter season. Cannot wait for this season to go up north more.

we go up every year and usually stay at Christy's Motel. Old Forge has had decent snow the last couple years and actually last year they had quite a bit.

There's a bunch of places to stay. From what I know, the hotels don't start taking reservations for that weekend until October. We stayed at Clark's Beach Motel last year which was real convient to park your sled right outside your door. Also another good place to stay is Chrity's like MACHZRider mentioned. 19th Green, etc. Search Old Forge and you can get a list of all the places to stay.

Ive been riding in Old Forge for a few years now, but have never been able ot make it to the snowdeo. Something always comes up. Last year it was that ice storm, so I couldn't leave my wife and dog with no heat or electricity.
I share a camp (trailer) with my brother in the old forge campsite. I would love to start my season before christmas this year. If I make it this year (fingers are crossed) I'd love to go on a group ride.

They have a Recreation Building filled with Vendors. When you walk in you get a raffle ticket for free and you get the chance to win prizes. They have a raffle for a Brand New snowmobile ($10,000 prize about) for the price of a $20 ticket. If you win, you get to pick from 5 or 6 sleds that are there. My Dad won the 2007 Raffle and picked a 2008 Yamaha RS Vector. I believe that the season pass is $65. They have weekly passes for about $45. It's worth it!

Think Snow!

The season pass is $65 if you get it before Nov 15? I think. Its $80 or $85 after that.
