Use them in low snow conditions, they drag in the ice and snow beside your sled and spray snow and ice up into your skid to to lube your slides and cool your sled down. Also very helpful if you run large lug
|

Extremely useful out in the mountains on the days when your running hard packed with a long track/lug sled.
