It all depends on how you ride, if you like a nice cruisin machine for long rides then the snopro isnt going to be for you. If you like to ditch bang, more aggresive rider and want something that will take everything you can throw at it then my friend the snopro will make you happy.

I believe the snopro will have different or more aggressive shocks, may want to check about handwarmers?

How good of shape are they in? how much do each of them cost? The f7 is gonna be quick very quick, the f5 is gonna be slower but might be able to take more abuse.

Save yourself the trouble of not knowing exactly what was done with/to that F7 IMO. Get the F5.

Red headlight covers are illegal in most states because at night or even on a dark day it looks like tail lights.

well there's probably a reason the shocks were rebuilt, i.e. getting the hell beat out of it. Thats my opinion it might not be true but i would personally look at both and make your choice from there

The Sabercat is more of a "luxury" trail sled. Between the F7 and the F5, you'll get a lot more power and speed out of the F7 but you won't know how much more cash you'll have to put into it for parts considering it has 5k miles. The F5 is a year newer with less miles but less power. If your just going to ditchbang and hit jumps, take the F5. I'd consider taking a knowledgeable "sledder" with you to examine both of them.
PS The sno-pro editions are meant to take a beating.

I didnt really read through. I have a sabercat 700 with stiffer shocks.. Best of both worlds.

The 440 will have less top speed but a better suspension package in basic terms. Is it trail converted?

I think those f5's are nice but i would rather have a f6 or a f7 because they are the best sized motors for just about anything

1998 Polaris Indy 500 chassis with 98 Xc 600 motor
SLP ceramic coated pipe with SLP can
V-force reeds
4 inch pivot riser
Gutted Air Box
EPI clutch kit soon to be installed
Maybe some pro tapers

1998 XC 700 water-cross sled
SLP twin pipes
Some light weight parts
Water-cross mods include taking the parts u do not need
This includes removing the seat replacing gas tank and IFS bars.

I would be more worried if somebody wasn't rebuilding their shocks and wasn't putting the time into their motor.. At the end of the day everything on a snowmobile has a limited life.. If you do the right preventative maintenance on a sled it will cost ALOT less in the long run.. I rebuild my suspension on all my sleds every year. If you have had a sled long enough you will know when the motor isn't quite what it use to be so rebuilding the motor doesn't always mean that is has been blown up. I have an F7 myself and its an amazing sled, you would be crazy if you thought that somebody never beat the snot out of it when they had it.. The plus side is they give it the love it needs after being beat on. You can go with the F5 but its gonna leave you wanting more in the long run. Not downing the sled at all I'm just being honest. The only difference with a snowpro is the shocks, shock springs and torsion springs. Their might be a difference in the gearing but don't quote me on that.

all im going to say is that if the f7 is the same price get it. that thing will scream down the trail and should be able to take some abuse on the ditch banging side to.
