I saw this video on youtube. I think its a pretty cool concept v8 1000cc

powersled:

First test ride. Custombuilt in a regular garage. 1000cc "homebuilt" V8 motor, 32 valves,
8 carbs, 140 H.P. Stocka Sweden 2003

Love the two up seat on it haha. That thing has to have some insane top end. I wouldnt want to be jumping it or getting it unstuck though thats for sure.

So true RMK-KING. Also, it's a 32 valve. So DOHC. I thought that was pretty neat. That sled reminds me of the old 6 cylinder mustangs. About 160hp, bad fuel mileage, but oddly, still cool!

That is two Honda VFR/Magna Motors linked together.
Interesting project, not particularly practical.
But then some people build thing's just because they can.

I can't find any information right now, but something like this was done back in the 70s. A V6 was put in a Mercury 250. I don't remember who raced it, but I remember it was called the Midnight Oil.

If you find any info on the "Midnight Oil" post it please.

Festus33 Do you know much about the Honda VFR/Magna motor? If so any idea of a weight range for a single one? Is the power comparable to sleds?

I guess I should have said that those are Honda VFR/Magna Top End's.
The Interceptor and Magna had the crank and transmission in the same case.
I'd be interested in seeing how he linked the crank's, and deleted the motorcycle tranny's.
I honestly would'nt expect that motor to weigh too much more than the 1000 c.c. motor Yamaha is presently using.
Probably somewhere between 20-40 lbs more, but I can't realy say for sure, Still gonna add a lot of weight to a mid/late 90's VMax.

When I saw V8 snowmobile I was like "ooooh, the two best things ever in one". But unfortunatley, its only 2 4 cylinders, I thought it was like a small V8 out of a car, but sadly, no.
